Hope it comes with the new 1.0L Turbo GDI engine and isn't priced exorbitant vis-à-vis the 1.2L kappa engine.
For instance, the 1.0L S variant in Venue is priced at a lakh more than the 1.2L(Kappa) S variant.

Although the silhouette seems evolutionary - I am expecting the overall design to change drastically - along the lines of the 'Sensuous Sportiness design theme' we have seen on the Sonata and the Elantra.

Not sure if it's a good or bad thing though - as the design of the Sonata has been quite polarizing for sure!

I would like to rather see something new as far as designs go, first could be the new HB20 for South America, followed by the new Grandi10 for us and then the i20. The latest-gen Sonata does not look good one bit, in my opinion.

Re: Next-Gen Hyundai i10 spotted testing in India

European Version of Hyundai i10 spied, shows its now familiar design of its 'family' face.

Looks a bit longer and wider than the current Gen. and shows off its LED tail lamps.

That cant be an i10. Pretty sure motor1 goofed up. Looks like new i20 to me. Hate that front styling, looks bad. Would prefer the current one anyday.

Agree with both of you here, and the design is a bit of a mess up I guess. Here are the things that I can see:
- Considering this specimen has a Sunroof, it must be the top most variant. And Hyundai still does not think offering a LED/Bi-xenon Headlamps is worth it.

- Only the first gen and I-gen I20 (Diesel) offered all round disc brakes. Looks like this has come back on this gen of I20

- The triangle housing for the fog lamps looks disgusting.

- The rims sort of resemble the previous gen Elite I20, which IMO is actually good.

Considering this is the international spec version, I don't think we can be sure about what we will get. The current gen i20 for the European markets comes with a panaromic sunroof and disk brakes all around along with a pleothora of other safety features.

More of the next Gen i20 being tested in India.

- Hyundai's Cascading Grille is also featured in the Elantra Baselift and Venue .

- Seems to be a bit wider hence expect to be more spacious

- Top variants may include LED projector headlights - LED DRL

So after Venue, I20 would get a sunroof. Seems a good move as most manufacturers are now willing to provide a sunroof and Hyundai wants to be ahead of the market (can be seen in two mules)

The test mule spied in Europe looks decent and quite aggressive with its low-and-wide gangsta stance.

With market focus now shifted towards petrol engines, I hope Hyundai plonks in a decent petrol engine in the i20 with some sort of mild-hybrid tech to improve fuel economy.

This could very well be my next car provided there are no major variant/feature goof-ups that Hyundai is infamous for.

re: Third-gen Hyundai i20 spotted testing in Chennai. Edit: Launched at 6.79 lakhs

2020 Hyundai i20,
Quote:
Frontal styling is dominated by a large cascading grille flanked by sharp LED headlights and triangular fog light housings.
Quote:
A crisp, deep-sculptured shoulder line runs from the trailing edge of the headlights to the rear taillights, whilst the side DLO (daylight opening area) is upright and airy. The rear is relatively inoffensive with horizontal LED tail lights and deep creases

The pint-sized supermini is expected to carry over the 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol from the current car and also offer a turbocharged, 1.0-litre three-cylinder in different states of tune. Select global markets like India are tipped to receive diesel variants too. Power will be fed to the front wheels via either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic
