If the wheels, mirrors are anything to go by then this is definitely for doing battle with the scorpio lets hope the rest of the car matches this expectation.

The car hire co. I use the driver said these days people hiring dont want Sumo because it is seen as crude and uncomfortable. Tata has work cut out to change that image unless they are targeting rural market only. Also hope they incorporate some safety features other than the picture of Lord Vinayaka on the dashboard.

Nice one Tushky! This gives us a rough idea about the overall shape (which remains quite boxy).

The front end looks a little odd, but rest of the vehicle seems to have kept the same shape. Will this Sumo have the 2.2L Dicor or they are going to put in the 2L TCIC engine as standard?

seems like the only mod they have done on it is the front end what about the roof and back end that was the part everyone hated, no it was the whole thing - lets wait and see what exactly is under the hood

anyone knws the release date

The front end seems to be pretty confused... not really sure if it has improved the looks .

The roofline is more flattened now as compared to the old one's backward slope. The Tailgate is also more sloped - seems to suggest a tailgate that can be lifted rather than opened.

I see more than a hint of the qualis in the side profile.
