Well, Suzuki must have got annoyed by the numbers Glanza numbers. So this will be a counter product to take on the "Toyota Ertiga".
There might be nothing that Glanza can offer which is not there in Ertiga/XL6 apart from Toyota Badge.

I like it! Front is clearly distinguishable from regular Ertiga. All black interiors with captain seats are welcome too. The name is so straightforward, an eXtra Large vehicle with 6 seats: XL6!

Hope to see an automatic as well, and not just a single engine configuration like S-Cross. Also, hope the tail lamp is a proper boomrang shaped LED and not the four stars like in current Ertiga.

I like the design but come on Maruti, why cant you guys give better alloy wheels on this. S-Cross alloys would've worked too!

Since the Ertiga already has an automatic, this one might have it too. But just like its donor car and its Nexa sibling, it will probably continue to be a 4-speed TC unit.

Yep, hoping for this myself as well. Something like the updated Jazz VX. That will bring in some distinction at the rear.

How I wish that the class of vehicle (All Terrain Vehicles) as per the patent means that this will feature raised ground clearance, body side cladding all around and Suzuki's AllGrip 4WD system

I can see that the first two have been answered in the scoop images, but the third is still a wishful thinking!!

This looks like a Mini-Innova which is not a bad thing at all. Looks premium than current avatar. Innova is a hit car in market for a decade now. This will definitely pull some of the customers I guess. Even if Maruti is able to sell 500 - 700 copies per month, they will be more than happy i guess. Investment costs for this would have been minimal and profits will be more for sure. Smart move by Maruti IMHO.

No diesel and so no diesel automatic. And then it seems like they have given the "cross" treatment to the Eritga...raise the GC, add roof rails, claddings, throw in some additional features kind of treatment. Not complaining but really hope to see Kia / Hyundai shaking up this segment and taking the fight to MSIL. After the CSUV, this is where the numbers are probably.

This certainly looks more premium. I feel Maruti can sell this only to private buyers and sell the normal Ertiga for commercial use.

This car can be a good upgrade to people looking for a family car but don't want to spend the big grands on Innova.

This certainly looks different and more premium than the Ertiga. Maruti now needs a proper six-speed auto transmission for both petrol and diesel. I would want them to offer 1.5 diesel with auto on this to draw some Crysta customers who don't want the bulk.

Anyways, even with just the petrol manual option, this will add some numbers for Maruti if they are not too greedy with the pricing. Just 15-20k over the equivalent Ertiga variant would be sweet.

In the first image(in the quoted text) it says "Captain Seats", but in the 2nd image (the last one in the actual post), it shows a connected bench seat like in the current Ertiga. Can it be that it has the same 40:20:40 Split Back as shown in the Ertiga 6-seater concept at GIIAS?

No. The all black theme photo is just for illustration from Indonasian Ertiga where it is launched in black theme (see the left hand steering wheel). The captain seats should be proper ones, not the GIIAS concept ones.

The Zxi+ missed out the following things when it came to 'premium'ness :

1. Map lights/ Vanity lights (Vitara Brezza has that)
2. Fabric cushions on doors
3. LED strip on tail lamps
4. LED Projector lamps
5. Illuminated window switches
6. No extendable flaps for windscreen.

Hope this one addresses it. Also, I would probably replace those alloy wheels with that of the Vitara Brezza.

I guess introducing this MPV has to do more with product positioning, filling the gap between Ertiga & Innova i.e. makeshift arrangement for Marazzo competition. Also one doubt is if Maruti is going to cross-badge Ertiga with Toyota, then so called C-MPV as per recent media articles will be all together a new model or just next-gen Ertiga co-developed with Toyota ??
Because for Toyota, having Innova, C-MPV & Ertiga would not seem a viable MPV portfolio.
