| ![]() I wouldn't call revision of rear 'news' per se, we anticipated Hyundai to shower some blessing on Indians by toning it down a bit. Looks like they won't and I guess Creta's and Venue's success is still lingering in their heads. Let's wait and watch how market receives it. IMO, people will still adore this car despite those hideous looks. |

Looking at the dimensions, bigger alloys and HUGE sunroof, its clear that this will be positioned as the premium alternative for the Seltos. Not sure if this will work for Hyundai as Creta was already expensive in the higher trims. Compact size too was a USP, which seems to have grown with this iteration. Hope we get the same interior as the Chinese one ![]()

| ![]() It's really sad to see this as the current Creta is such a good looking car. Just some years back, Hyundai was known for it's fantastic designs and now this! I am still hoping that they will tweak the design for the Indian market (very unlikely) ![]() |

| ![]() Contrary to what everyone said in another thread, I had my sincere doubts if the quirky styling will be toned down for India. It turns out that mostly it would not. Familiarity breeds contempt and in this case, Familiarity breeds acceptability I must say. Hyundai in a way has to be appreciated for launching this kind of bold and experimental styled products in India and yet make them a stellar success. Makes very good case study. That said, I expect the product per se nothing less than brilliant in terms of engineering. Hyundais have been an example of refinement, plushness and stellar reliability and new Creta would surely deliver them all, along with an all new level of tech wizardry. I only wish they don't indulge in copying, The instrument panel exactly mimics that of new BMWs IMHO. And I would bet my money that this product, sans any tweaks, will sell in India, like hot cakes. Badges sell! It's just that in our case, it is restricted to Two (or Max 3) badges!! Last edited by rangarx : 7th November 2019 at 14:53. Reason: Adding another point |

| ![]() I had my doubts too, as to whether such a concept like design would make it to India as is. And then I happened to see a Venue, and all such thoughts disappeared. |

| ![]() The design seems extremely overdone and this now looks like a beefed up Venue, with a rear inspired from the Pontiac Aztek. Did see the interior in pictures and definitely not a fan of the digital instrument cluster with dials running opposite to each other. (The Rev counter running counter clockwise). Hyundai has definitely gone over board with that cheese grater grille. Gone are the days when the first Creta, the classiest one of the lot, elegant and poise drew me breathless. The facelift killed it for me and this one is something I will overlook. The Seltos is definitely classier than this even though it has zero road presence. Can't digest this design one bit. |

| ![]() Well clearly its not the honeycomb grill from China, but it's not the design of the grill but the overall shape of the grill which is an eyesore in my opinion. The shape has been camouflaged to an extent here so still hopeful for a much 'less funky' style. |

As per the website, the grill pattern remains same with 2 additional bars on top of it, enhancing the "macho" look we always love in a SUV. I can relate this kind of a grill design to the one in Toyota RAV4 Adventure model, sold in US. ![]() I feel Hyundai will bring the Venue's alloy wheel design in 17" size for the new Creta and, that would really appeal to many.
