Thanks for the link. I think it is not relevant here though (apart from it being just text on TBHP). It is a misinformation about the carburettor version of MG413W being 65 BHP. It could be possible that an earlier version of the it was 65 BHP. That I am willing to accept.

But there is no way a 1998 carburettor version of MG413W was not 82 or 81 BHP. Peace.

The MG410/MG410W had the F10A engine found in maruti 1000 they made 45bhp.

The Gypsy king was announced in 1996 with a G13BA. 8 valve, carb engine with 62bhp (Launched one year or so after the launch of the esteem).

Only after the esteem got a MPFI upgrade around 2000, did they launch the Gypsy king with MPFI 16 valve G13BB engine with around 81bhp.

The Gypsy/Gypsy king always had less hp compared to Maruti 1000/esteem respectively but Gypsy/Gypsy king has more torque. So if the carb version of esteem made only 65bhp, no way would the Gypsy king carb made 80hp.

We have been dancing around this for many years now. Only an official source can settle this. Assumptions cannot change facts.

Gypsy King with 80bhp MPFi engine.

2015 BS4 Gypsy.pdf
80bhp brochure.

I hope this clears all the air around the engine power of Gypsy in all it's avatars. And these are not assumptions.
