What brand are the OEM ones? I wouldn't mind getting those if they're available on that Boodmo site and install myself.

Thanks, let me check those.

Thanks for the detail. I have used that setting but found it to be working for the adaptive cruise control distance between the leading vehicle and mine. When set to near, the car slows when it nears the leading car and vice versa. Never found it working for the CMBS. But, will keep a check again now.

Thanks.

I don't think there was any vendor names mentioned in the OEM wipers and in Boodmo only the wiper blade rubbers are available, not the entire set.

One BHPian has replaced the rubbers and the details are in this post (The 5th-gen Honda City in India. EDIT: Review on page 62). You can get the details from there.

I hope you have switched off the car with handbrake pulled up. I think this is Honda's procedure to add phone. Once the system is paired, then you don't need to follow this procedure again.

Finally took delivery of Honda City V CVT last week and boy it makes me smile everytime. For everyone who asks "Why a sedan in the era of SUV?", please drive this car once. You'll forget all SUVs.

Congratulations on your City V is the absolute VFM Variant in their lineup.
Please can you share which showroom in Pune did you purchase it from, and what was the OTR price, and discounts offered?

I was not happy with the wiper blades and this time opted for Bosch Clear Advantage (almost double the price of basic wipers). Stock size is 26" and 14". Could not get 14" and after doing some basic checks, ordered 26" and 15" (Price 585 for the 26" and 300 for 15"). Fitted it today and it works fine. No issue at all.

Re: The 5th-gen Honda City in India. EDIT: Review on page 62

Did another long drive (330km mixed roads) today and got a mileage of ~21kmpl. I used to get 19-20 kmpl on this route and was expecting 19 today due to late start from Bangalore and lots of traffic in between. Fuel was filled from JioBP (regular petrol) and it used give more mileage in city traffic.

I’ve already completed the first servicing and opted for the 3-year maintenance package. Thanks to this, I didn’t have to pay a single rupee for the servicing. The service staff was very helpful, and the overall experience was much better compared to the Sales Experience.
In my view, the Honda City still holds its own in the sedan segment.

I hope you’ve made your booking by now! Let me know which model you finalized.
Thanks much.
Hey Subhashis,

Thanks a lot for your input. I took delivery of the City on Sunday. The variant I picked is V MT White. Wasn't keen on sunroof for various reasons, and didn't want to extend my budget beyond what's absolutely necessary. Have not bought any accessories yet. Got mats from GFX from my regular accessories shop - Konark on East End Road. Will plan for some accessories during Christmas / New Year holidays (Dash-cam, side-moulding etc).

Compared to the Amaze, something I found odd was that the Amaze has default side-step cover (black plastic) which is very useful while city doesn't have any by default, and we need to get this additional accessory for that.

Happy driving in City and Highway

Cheers,
Nikhil

Re: The 5th-gen Honda City in India. EDIT: Review on page 62

Hi,

I decided to add chrome attachment to the door handles of my 2022 Honda City V CVT. It was more about satisfying an itch to add something new to the car than an aesthetic necessity.

While searching online for the chrome attachment, I found not many options for the 5th gen model, although there are plenty of options for previous generations. Here are the ones I came across:

Flipkart:
I found one priced at INR 1,299. However, I didn’t choose this because the passenger side attachment didn’t have a hole for the request sensor.

CarHatke:
Another option was on a website called CarHatke, which I had never heard of before. It was priced at INR 960 and had sensor holes on both sides. After checking the thread about Carhatke on Team-BHP LINK TO THREAD (Anyone tried CarHatke?), I decided to give this website a try.

I placed the order on 24th December and received it on 27th December via Delhivery.

The overall fit and finish is average and decent for the price. My only concern is how well these will hold up over time. While I’m not entirely sure about this decision to add the chrome attachments, they do enhance the car's aesthetics. Nevertheless, attaching some pics.

Re: The 5th-gen Honda City in India. EDIT: Review on page 62

The underside of my 5th Gen CVT City was scraping in some unlikely places so thought I should check what's happening underneath.

Turns out there was a large impact that has changed the shape of the underbody cladding. Any thoughts on how to fix this? My first thought was to slide under the car and see if I poke things back into shape, but wouldn't want to make things worse.

Re: The 5th-gen Honda City in India. EDIT: Review on page 62

Took my City V MT for a few long rides to tide over the running-in period - mostly on NICE Road / Mysore Expressway and via city traffic to KIAL. In total 300km so far. Keeping the rpm below 3k and also running steady at different speed + gear combos. Max I took was 85kmph.

Am planning to give it for 1st service tomorrow itself as I'm travelling out of station for a month.

The car is really comfortable and family didn't complain so far on the 150km ride. As compared to my other two cars (Amaze 2023 and Triber 2022), this is in another league.
> The engine is super-smooth and revs effortlessly
> NVH is excellent (main reason I picked this over the excellent Elevate).
> The clutch and gear-shift are smooth.
> There is really good legroom in the back seat.
> Mileage so far for 300km is around 15.5kmpl for smooth driving.
> Ground clearance (GC) is nothing to complain about. Crossed some really large humps (Bangalore-grade ) near toll-booths without much problems (5 onboard = 1 male + 3 female adults & 1 pre-teenager).
> Suspension is quite soft and absorbs bumps easily. Compared to this, my Amaze feels like I'm riding a cycle!! It's super hard. Can't say how it is when driven fast.
> ADAS is really effective. On Mysore road, many times when I changed lanes without giving the indicator, the steering juddered and moved back the car the original lane!

I'm a sedate driver and am done with fast driving considering the state of the roads and the amount of cars on the highway.

All-in-all, it's a wonderful car. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, reliable car. Thanks to this wonderful forum for all the input which helped me make this great choice.

Re: The 5th-gen Honda City in India. EDIT: Review on page 62

Hi all
I am enjoying my three years old ZX CVT run 26500km. Last service done to car was two months and 2000km back.
Till date I have faced no problems.
Two days back my son started the car in the morning to go to office. A few moments later check engine light started blinking and the car was vibrating.
So he brought back and parked the car.
Next morning we got the car checked by a local mechanic who didn't find anything wrong and especially no rat bites etc which we were fearing.
He removed the battery terminals and cleaned off some carbon and refitted the terminals. According to him we can drive the car and there is no problem but we can get the car scanned at Honda workshop for our peace of mind.
After that car has been driven for 50km and it ran fine without any problem.
So should I get the car scanned?
