Infractions: 0/1 (5) | ![]() No point in posting negative comments just by seeing photos, we have seen this in recent past. I am sure this will look better in person. It's just me or someone else also feels that Honda tried to make new City look like new Civic? Actually I liked what i see till now and I am sure it will be better in person. Will give feeling of next segment for sure. |

![]() Agreed it's a please-few-offend-none design. However, Honda can have my money if the perceived drop in quality issue compared to earlier generations is taken care of. Although considering the disappointments faced by current gen City owners, Honda have set the bar low this time ![]() I do honestly hope the 1.5 L iVTEC NA survives another generation. Niggles or not, I would still buy the City just for this engine! Damn you Ford.. why did you have to start the Ecoboost trend? :( [P. S. - I know the answer.. But I'll still sulk]

![]() Except front slab grill, small tyres, and stupid looking ICE screen I like the way the new City looks. Design looks clean and fit and finish looks better than the current version. I liked 2020 Jazz too (except the front grill)

![]() Just a comparison with the 2012 Civic (the one that didn't make it to India) and the 2020 City. Feels like the designers just had to open an old folder and modify an 8 year old design a little bit ![]()

![]() The design feels more of an evolution of the existing gen City. The thick chrome bar in the front is a real overkill and personally I hate it. The rear too looks weird and doesn't look sleek anymore, rather it's bulbous. The black grille on the RS looks more subtle and the car looks better in that variant. Honda could have done so much better. ![]()

![]() In India, Hyundai started with a humble Santro whereas Honda was known for the luxurious City. Honda had enormous snob value, see how far Hyundai has come and what has Honda achieved over the same course of time. The City always had a USP which gave it the snob value it commanded. It was butter smooth, sporty, FAST, fuel efficient, ultra-reliable, good looking and a symbol of luxury. When the likes of Ford Ikon, Opel Astra, Mitsubishi Lancer, Maruti Baleno struggled and lost their identity, the City kept going stronger with the 2nd gen and the 3rd gen. With time, it's USP didn't get lost and hence it could maintain it's identity. With the 4th gen, the City went a little too mainstream. The competition evolved a lot, from the pathetic boat like 1st gen Verna, to the eye catching latest gen Verna that looks class apart, and others. Today, if I see a Ciaz, I don't know why one shouldn't buy it instead of the City. Yes, the iVtech is still a gem of an engine but that is it. Packing a car with features and pricing it aggressively may help get a few hundred more of sale each month but the City has lost it's USP, and with it, it's true identity. We won't get the RS, we won't get the 1.0 turbo petrol, what we are getting/will get is the same decades old engine, a suspension that is neither sporty nor too compliant, a steering with no feel or feedback. I think they may improve the interior quality and overall build quality of the next gen City, which went south with the current gen's launch. But that is that, I still don't understand why would you want to buy it over a Ciaz or a Verna.

![]() I hope they do away with the horrible 175 section tires on the lower and mid variants. 185/15 with a reasonably tall aspect ratio at least should be standard.

![]() what about the biggest issue with Honda City, the ground clearance? Honda Thailand website mentions "Height above ground" as only 135mm.
