Good move Honda!
It is quite cumbersome to change or set the temperature and fan speed while on the move if you're the only person in the car.

I hope they stick to analog dials on the speedometer and not jump onto the digital dash bandwagon. These new cars seem to be competing with who can make the tackiest looking digital speedometer these days with background colors that can hurt your eyes at night.

Does Honda sell black City here? I mean previous gen. I've never seen one.

The 4th gen City was launched with the black colour (Metallic Black Pearl if I remember correctly) but it was discontinued shortly after.
Infact, one of the first (IIRC the first) 4th gen Honda City on the forum was a black City owned by bhpian //M.
I remember this because I was head over heels over the black City and even had some of the photos from his ownership thread (and the subsequent travelogue he posted) as my computer wallpaper for some days when we were finalising the City as our next car back in 2014.
Taking liberty as a forum member, here's the link to his ownership thread for some visual delights -

This one looks a bit bigger compared to the outgoing city(atleast in pictures).

What’s really sad is basic thing such as “Headrest” is highlighted as a feature

The sadder aspect is that even 'woke' manufacturers like Hyundai do not offer the middle seat head rest as a feature in the new Creta.

The Honda has it, and are therefore justified in advertising it, in my opinion.

The lanewatch camera and TPMS are great features, a 360 degree camera system will be missed though. Really interesting to see that the Indian City is the more feature packed one compared to the one unveiled in Thailand.
That one didn't have a Digital instrument cluster and lane watch.

I hope they've paid special attention to its build quality; the outgoing City was not up to the mark. I sold mine within 2 years of buying one because I just couldn't deal with its rattles and squeaks.

It's the sunroof . Not the headrest . They're advertising the sunroof.

City range has a much more competitive positioning (in comparison) in Thailand.

Honda City costs 12% more than the previous generation Amaze there and 4% more than a Jazz. Whereas here it starts 62% higher than an entry level new generation Amaze here, and about 35% more than the outgoing Jazz.

In Thailand - Ciaz top model AT costs similar to the second from the top model of the City AT. In India - the top end Ciaz automatic is almost 1 lakh cheaper than the cheapest of the three automatic variants of the outgoing City. The new one will likely push these prices higher.

Ours will mostly be a more premium positioned car than Thailand.

Wow, I didn’t know this, thanks! Why is it so though? Are the Jazz and Amaze overpriced there?

Because AFAIK, the 2020 City RS is ~17 lakh INR after direct conversion.
