Rapid successor (Slavia) spotted in Pune.

Interior is very similar to the new gen Octavia which was just launched in India!

Bigger rapid or smaller Jetta. Size is perfect and they may price the top variant 18-19 Lakhs.

Have a look at the camouflage on bus and car! Natural camouflage on the bus looks better than the one on car. What do these transport depot employees do?

While coming from Pune to Mumbai, I managed to see 2 test mules of the upcoming Skoda Sedan.

Few stand-outs, that I managed to note:

1. Length is more than the Rapid and it can be easily seen.
2. LED headlights, fog-Lights and LED taillights too.
3. Felt it to be higher than my Rapid.
4. Front head restraints felt to be tall (like Baleno).
5. Interior felt to be in black (not sure as it can be wrapped or hidden)
6. Interiors looked similar to Kushaq
7. ORVMs seems to be used from previous gen Octavia (it’s taller and wider than current-gen Rapid).
8. Rear legroom seemed to be spacious enough.

Also, got my dashcam recording through which, we can see size comparison with other cars.

Spotted in Aundh area, Pune today evening.
Looks to be the same mule.

Size wise, it feels very similar to the Rapid.

What are the thoughts of the members here about the base model of the this rapid replacement? Do you think the new rapid's base model would be still priced under 10 lakhs?

Raptor3624 The pricing you quoted is next to impossible as it is made clear by various queries regarding pricing which were asked on the twitter handle of Mr. Zac hollis (head of Skoda India).
This car is based on the new MQB AO platform and will be feature laden in all variants. So eventually it will be pricier than the current generation.

This test mule could be the Skoda Slavia sedan,one of the first sedans from the MQB-AO IN platform.
But as rumours go,this could be positioned above the Skoda rapid sedan in our market.
Mostly will be positioned against the likes of Honda city,Hyundai Verna.

The Premium Sedan spied again, is a notchback with sunroof :
