Skoda KODIAQ SCOUT Launched at ~ ₹ 34 lakhs ( In CKD and priced between the Style and L&K)

I really wished they launched this car with a more powerful engine.

The lava blue color is looking good.

Interesting to note that the Scout is a CKD and yet priced at 34 which compares to the UK price of Skoda can easily bring in the Superb 280 or Octavia RS Challenge Edition at their UK prices! So RS should be 32 ex-s and the Superb 280 ~36L!

Skoda Kodiaq Scout launched at an ex showroom price of 33.99 lacs and has been positioned between L&K and Style variants. Globally the Scout is above L&K variant, but in India they have done some repositioning and make the Scout cheaper. The Scout actually has more features than the L&K and looks good.

No the scout is cheaper than L&K cause it misses the 360 camera and the virtual cockpit.

It's basically mid spec variant here in India between style and L&K.

Scout is 1820Kgs and style is 1799. The L&K is 6kgs more at 1826.

The additional under body protection might be the reason scout is more and the L&K has probably more electronics and wiring and the additional chromy bits. Not sure.

The L&K gets Nappa leather and the Scout gets Alcantara. Weight won't be different by 20kgs.

On the other hand, Nappa leather could be lighter by few hundred grams

The Scout Loses out on the 360 deg Camera and the Virtual Cockpit and gains on the Offroad mode, TPMS (in terms of functional features) compared to the L&K version.
I really like the Black Alcantra leather look (loved it on the Tesla Model 3, which we saw in Dubai).

Overall looks like a good car to me, I hope that with BS4 changeover we can get a good deal on this car! It would be a nobrainer for us if we can get it around 28-30 Lacs onroad! I have heard that there will be some really crazy deals on BS4 cars in the Jan-Mar period. Let's see what deals we can get.
There are plenty of cars that will be discontinued/ changed over to new engines and old stock (if any) will need to be cleared out completely latest by Mar 31st 2020.

I checked and Discovery Sports Landmark is 67 lakhs in Bangalore while the Scout is 43 lakhs.

I wonder then, with the light feature difference, which one would people end up buying? Because I don't see much value in the L&K model if I'm honest compared to the Scout going by what's being said here. Can do without Virtual cockpit but not sure about 360 deg camera.
