Senior - BHPian ![]() | ![]() I would say that Subaru desperately needs to be in India. They are reliable, practical, fun and durable. Just what our nation needs I feel. SAWD and Boxer petrols with rally bred chassis will whip the complacency out of VW, Maruti, Tata and everyone else. |

| ![]() Peugeot. Especially the 208 and 2008. Much like KIA, they have really got it together recently in terms of design. I really wish it was Peugeot and not Citroën that was launching in India soon. A majority of their portfolio will suit India and their bonkers-looking interiors which look like nothing else in the market will surely attract our buyers. |

#2: Toyota RAV4 & Tacoma - I am amazed why the RAV4 is not being considered for India. Superb vehicle, one which started the whole 'Unibody' crossover revolution. We're still stuck with the body on frame Fortuner which is huge from the outside and not so much on the inside. #3: Ford F-150 (localized, obviously): We need good pick-ups and options to the revered Mahindra BMT range, which is dominating the market. Also, the contribution of pick-ups has been increasing in LCVs in our market. #4: Alfa 4C: Just a fanboy ![]() | |

| ![]() Here is the list of vehicles that make sense in India: 1. Kia Telluride (Kia should have brought this instead of minivan Carnival/Sedona. 2. Hyundai Palisade (all Hyundai SUVs are already available in India except this new model Palisade). 3. Kia Stinger (Won't be a big seller but gives Kia an aspirational brand status in India) 4. Hyundai Ioniq EV. 5. VW ID series electric vehicles (I don't think VW will see much success with their India 2.0 project. They need to bring their ID series electric vehicles. Otherwise, they will be again playing catch up, this time with even more competition from Hyundai/Kia, Chinese and domestic companies like Tata and Mahindra. 6. Peugeot e-208 and e-2008. Peugeot needs to bring in their EVs early rather than starting only with petrol/diesel vehicles. In my opinion, they should have launched the Peugeot brand instead of Citreon. Considering their international price structure, the Telluride and Pallisade will end up costing 60~70 Lacs INR. I doubt it will find many buyers in that price range. |

| ![]() TESLA - I would vote for Tesla model 3 to compete with the likes of Mercedes and BMWs. In addition, at a higher end, Tesla X would be my call out for Indian market. |

BHPian ![]() | ![]() I see a lot of love for Mazdas & Subarus and hope these manufacturers consider India. Right product will be appreciated by Indian customers and Kia is a perfect example for them. Finally, we have Carnival in our shores. |

| ![]() I would love to see Subaru cars sold here. That's on top of my wishlist. If there is a particular car then that would be the WRX STI. It could give the 3 series a run for its money. |

Subaru can try launching their Crosstrek first followed by the legendary Forester. Crosstrek seems to be the perfect Urban SUV/Crossover that we all need, not to forget its symmetric AWD as well. How I wish to see these cars make it to our shores. Can they at least try importing through CBU first and test waters here? I am really surprised that they are not in India yet. |

| ![]() Of all auto majors who are not yet present in India, I think its Mazda who should make an entry, the brand has recall, credibility, good looking cohesive cars, and if it stays true to its Japanese legacy, we could have a fantastic alternative to Hyundai. |
