re: Name a car which you want to be sold in India

Subaru Brz/ Toyota FRS
Mazda Miata
Kia Forte5
Actually the entire mazda line up in general, the 3 series is so well carved and definitely have on of the best interiors i have seen
Peugeot 208
Kia Picanto
Kia Stinger
VW Golf GTI
We really dont have any proper hot hatches in India. There is always something missing with the ones that are available here, especially the power.

Would love to see the Suzuki Jimny. Also, some good pickup trucks- Toyota Hlux, LC 70 series, Ford Ranger etc.

Odyssey and Sienna are monocoques based on Accord and Camry platform respectively. I guarantee you that the Innova/Qualis will be the tougher vehicle in our road conditions. Also, they are huge and gas guzzling-10 kmpl on a liter of diesel is pretty good. 5-7 kmpl from a V6 gasoline engine is a no-no in Indian conditions.

For last few years, I was tracking few cars to be launched in India and they were IX25 (Creta), CHR and HR-V. I still hope Honda launches HR-V at reasonable price in India.

Tesla Model 3 & Model S. Would love to add one as the 3rd car of the house (after my 530d & Jeep). Want to know why? Read this thread. They would do well as the brand has amazing pull in India, and luxury car customers would willingly look away from the usual German options in favour of these super cool EVs.

Although this one isn't possible since it is no longer manufactured, I wish some French embassy personnel brought and sells a Citroen C6. Would love to own a car so focused on comfort.

Also, I would love for Subaru to enter our country. They offer a lovely balance of durability, reliability, safety and a fun-to-drive factor across their range of cars, that is unparalleled by any other Japanese marque.

Knowing Honda and their pricing, it would definitely priced much higher killing itself. Otherwise I would love to see the Odyssey sold here more so for the space and comfort it offers. Apart from this, I would love to see the enitre Mazda, Subaru and Alfa Romeo lineups launched here.

Mazda MX-5 / Miata. I love what the car targets (outside India) and has achieved worldwide.

I hope to see a similar opportunity for us here.

Re: Name a car which you want to be sold in India

Hmm... let's see now for city runs, I require a small, easy to drive & park, can carry shopping bags and inhales rather gulps fuel kinda car. My choice is the Renault Twizy. Yes, its a 4 wheeled motorcycle. But we are used to riding 3 wheeled autos so big deal.

Now for serious driving like out of the city, I want something with good ground clearance, built like a tank, adequate luggage space & seating comfort for 5 adults. My choice...is the Toyota Avanza available in Thailand. Half the price of an Innova, almost as spacious. With an economical yet reasonably powerful 1.5 ltr engine. What more could you ask for?

Re: Name a car which you want to be sold in India

Well I want Ford Raptor to be sold in India. Got a chance to convey my wishes to Ford few months back and if launched in India it might carry a price tag similar to Endeavour/Everest. They both share same assembly line I guess hence not a difficult task to roll it in India.

Mazda3, Mazda6, Mazda-CX3, Mazda-CX5, Mazda Miata. I would definitely buy a Mazda 6 or a CX5 with the SKYACTIV-D

Just curious, Why would Mazda not look at India? They are quite popular in Asia, and the the brand recall would be quite good in India too. I think Mazda would probably offer decent build and also a bit of fun to drive element, something on the lines of a Ford in India. But it just does not look like they are even considering India as of now.

They were looking to enter few years ago but backed off yet again. They would have thought the hatchback segments are very crowded and would not be possible to profit from them.
