Walked into the Kia showroom in Cyber Hub at 9:30 last night on seeing the Sonet displayed. Looks really cool and bigger than a venue, just like an xc40 as someone mentioned. My friends thought it was a better looker than the Seltos parked next to it.
The windows were too opaque too see anything inside but hope to see the matte golden paint and integrated handles make it from concept to production

The Sonet is on display at Kia Experience Center at CyberHub, Gurgaon. These snaps were shared by my brother after his visit there. The car looks fantastic. This would eat up into sales of Venue as well as others. Kia has another blockbuster in making. The icing on cake would be a decently powerful diesel mated to a 6 speed TC.

Stunning looking indeed. Hope the production version won't be watered down. Kia, keep the looks same, price it reasonably and this will be a cat among pigeons. What is it with Kia and looks of their cars! I never was nor am I now a Hyundai fan. But...it's a complete different story with Kia. I'm smitten by their line up. Looks like they will slaughter competition in India.

Off late most of the designs are inspired by one another. The lines across the manufacturers car designs are getting blurred.

As long as the design is good inspiration and properly executed like the one here, all is well

The face looks a bit overdone (may get toned down from concept to production spec), but it's a rather clean and proportionate silhouette overall.

Kia does have a good-looking design portfolio (mature designs compared to the house of quirk their cousin has become), so I'm not surprised.

Is it just me, the car looks quite small, almost like the KUV infact. I didn't like so much of garnishing done.

Completely agree. The first thing that came to my mind when I saw photos of the Sonet was the KUV. I may be able to comment better once I see it in flesh. However it looks way better than KUV.

It does look diminutive, but that is not a surprise since it will be heavily similar to the Venue, including powertrains. It has quite a few design cues which are similar to the Venue.

The Venue looks much more compact as compared to other CSUV offerings in the market. Almost like a raised hatchback, rather than a bigger SUV bodyshell.

In flesh, the car looks reasonably sized. No KUV for sure

This is based on few minutes I spent around Sonet display area at Autoexpo. I found the looks to be pretty average as compared to Venue and facelift Nexon.

The speed at which KIA is operating is unbelievable. Never in our history have we seen such a fleet-footed operator. The Sonet looks great, and should be all set to hit our roads by the festive season. Needless to say, the car will come loaded with all the goodies (going by their product portfolio). Kia's cars are always pegged a segment above, (price wise) so this one should be no different.
