| ![]() The Seltos takes the success which Hyundai achieved with the Creta to the next level. It indeed is the spiritual successor of the Creta in many aspects. The perfect dimensions, multitude of options, and a company backed by Hyundai are writing a blockbuster story. The question remains however that now will the Creta come in as a seven seater avatar to take the narrative to subsequent measure. Something is cooking at Hyundai definitely. P.S: When can we expect the Stinger GT or the Telluride to make an appearance? |

BHPian ![]() | ![]() In simple words Kia's success can be attributed to the company giving their best to Indian customers both in terms of drive train options and features and pricing it sensibly. Honda, VW and Toyota must learn from them. Last edited by Sheel : 5th January 2020 at 17:11. Reason: Please proof read prior to submission and use spell-checkers. Thanks. |

I’m sure Carnival will bring the heat directly to Innova. They’ve plans of getting stinger too which is a dashing car. With Indians, they know we love tech filled products, good build & a looker with moderate performer, that’s what Seltos did and it gathered not only sales but the market share and took the company to its greatest heights in less than a year. They’ve a good line up of cars that can be called as an arsenal for Kia to get more and more numbers. Perhaps, they might bring down Hyundai as well in the upcoming years. They’re fresh and we are liking it. Good going Kia ![]() | |

| ![]() Expected from KIA. They created the necessary hype before launch, came with a product that's desirable and relevant to the current situation. ![]() OT- happy to see Renault in the 6th position. They are also making good strides in the market. |

| ![]() These numbers could be inclusive of Carnival despatch, that said, they have created a significant impact in the market and a year down the lane, Kia will be 3rd largest manufacturer. |

| ![]() Kia Seltos last 6 months average sales ~ 10000 units. Very impressive show by them. Hyundai sold around 6.5-7 K unites of Creta during the same period. Arrival of 2020 Creta and Harrier will make competition more interesting. Last edited by Latheesh : 3rd February 2020 at 19:12. |

| ![]() So it's only going to be a matter of months, that KIA is going to be the 3rd largest manufacturer. KIA & MG are classic case study material for anyone who wants to enter Indian market. You give the customer the right car, you get volumes, simple! Ford was the one who came out with CSUV and see how they squandered an opportunity to introduce something like Seltos! Honda is another one. I think they will also wind up their operations here. |

| ![]() I think apart from KIA doing everything right, there is a rising customer trend of buying the latest and flashiest (technologically) item on the market. It might be due to a combination of social media, demographic change, and rapid technological progress. XUV 500 launched in 2011 yet sold decently till 2017-18 i.e 7 years Honda City 4th gen launched in 2014 sold till 2017-18 - 4-5 years Creta launched in 2015 only but new-gen in 2020 |
