Your most respected people in the motor industry

we have all voted our favourite supercars and non-supercars and yet still the supercars we hated. now, how about we get behind the scenes. name the people each one of you respect the most, and i am not setting any limitations on the number either. it could be anybody, somebody managing the finances or product development or a mere salesman.
just for the kicks, you can name anybody besides Enzo Ferrari and Ferruccio Lamborghini and Dr. Ferdinand Porsche. dont get me wrong, each one of us i m sure have great respect for these 3 persons. but im sure there are a lot more out there.

scratch your head guys, and give respect where it's due.

1. Soichiro Honda - Founder of Honda Motors.

2. Gordon Murray - The man behind the ultimate production car, the Mclaren F1.

3. Kenichi Nagahiro - Invented the Vtec engine.

4. Frederick William Lanchester *- patented the "Disc Brakes".

5. M Schumacher - a Ferrari is nothing without this guy behind the wheel, he also played a major role in getting the Ferrari F1 team to where it is, today.

6. Dr. Felix Wankel - invented the Rotary or Wankel engine.

More to come.......

Regards...

Wendel Wiedleking (hope I got the name right) head of Porsche - taken immense risks to get Porsche to
where it is operationally and strategically

Luca Di Montezemolo - made Ferraris and Maseratis reliable and actually win races

Bruno Sacco - past head designer of Mercedes

Eberhart Van kuenheim - Ex head of BMW - made BMW what they are - pre Bangle

Jac Nasser - Rescued some great brands and made them better - Aston Martin and Volvo - Jaguar - partially

John Egan - made Jaguar attractive for Ford to take over

Bob Lutz - A real car guy - he know a winner by instinct and not market research

Colin Chapmen + John Miles- Founder of Lotus + cheif chassis tester - believed that 90% of car handling limits should be on tap all the time + focus on power to weight ratio and v. little e-gizmo nonsense

CK Birla - He still makes the impossible happen - 48 year old Amby on the road still

Carlos Ghosn - revamped Nissan

am sure more will come along
