Rumour: Jaguar XE Facelift to be launched on December 4, 2019

According to a media report, Jaguar is likely to launch the updated XE in India on December 4, 2019.

As part of the facelift, the new XE gets revised exterior as well as an updated interior. It gets new LED headlights with L-shaped daytime running lights and new front and rear bumpers.

On the inside, the XE gets a new digital instrument cluster and dual-touchscreens for the infotainment and other functions.

In India, the XE is likely to be offered with the same set of engines as the outgoing model. These include 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engines that produce 197 BHP and 320 Nm and 245 BHP and 365 Nm as well as a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel that makes 177 BHP and 430 Nm of torque.

Finally! This seems to be a good and worthy competitor to it's close rivals, can't wait to find out the updated features and hopefully it will be BS-VI compliant. The pre-facelift XE just didn't make the cut in front of its rivals.

Somehow the interior of the XE looks very outdated in front of the new 3 series and even the A4. The HU looks like an aftermarket installation and does not give a feeling of being seamlessly integrated. Just ignore the steering and the logo, you could mistake this for any other mid segment car. Just no design philosophy on the inside! Heck even the new Hyundais have better design!
