The Mustang facelift was presented at the 2018 Frankfurt Motor Show. As part of the update, the Mustang gets a new bonnet, redesigned grille, headlamps and tweaked front and rear bumpers.

On the inside, the new car gets soft-touch plastics and a 12-inch digital instrument cluster. Some of the standard features offered on the new Mustang include LED lights and adaptive cruise control.

The updated Mustang comes with a 5.0-litre, V8 engine that has been tuned to produce 444 BHP and will be paired with a 10-speed automatic gearbox.

I always wondered why the facelift did not come to India sooner.

It is a CBU, coming in from EU. The facelift has been selling in EU for quite some time now. What was the logic of manufacturing a pre-facelift model specifically for some low volume markets?

Wouldn't it make both financial and operational sense to just produce the new variant, for CBU cars.

Leftover slow-moving stock of the pre-facelift CBU cars at both, dealer & factory levels. The Mustang saw HEAVY discounting of old stock.

Ford wanted to sell off all the Pre Facelifted ones before getting in the facelifted model. There aren't any more vehicles in the plant, only a handful of cars are at the dealer stock, which will be sold out by March I presume. So April would be a good time for them to launch the car. Many Mustang Fans are waiting for the car, and they have been waiting since 2018. Now is the time.

New Ford Mustang India launch in early 2021. Gets a more powerful V8, 10-speed automatic and updated styling.

It is true. 2021 Model hitting the showrooms in early 2021 first quarter. Spec will be revealed by the end of this year. Expect Ford to bring in some New Colours and not keeping much of the traditional colours ( White, Grey,Black etc).

Manual Transmission is needed, i Repeat M/T is needed, I repeat we need a Stick Shift.
