According to a media report, Mercedes is expected to launch the facelift GLC SUV in India on December 3, 2019. The car was first showcased at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show.

This is a very competent and handsome looking SUV. The diesel is a potent motor delivering good drivability, though not as exhilarating as the X3. Also, it has all the features you would expect, including that slick MBUX touchscreen infotainment display and that ever so beautiful interior. The prices seem alright considering they are BS6 compliant.

Re: The Mercedes-Benz GLC facelift, now launched at Rs. 52.75 lakhs

The OD review is out

Key excerpts (other than engine updates, which are covered in the earlier post)-

"...new infotainment system that sits atop the dashboard. For the first time in a Mercedes-Benz, it is a touchscreen system.."

"...this infotainment now comes with an embedded SIM (powered by Vodafone), the acclaimed MBUX operating system..."

"...the rear seat gets a few updates to make life a tad bit better for the occupants. The windows now get manually-retractable blinds and there are USB ports at the rear too.."

"... steering wheel has a new design like the C-Class. The cruise control functions are on the wheel now, along with two swipe-pads that control the MBUX infotainment and the instrumentation. The instrumentation has a similar layout as before, with a digital display flanked by two analogue clocks - but a new three-dimensional design comprising of large bezels of the clocks.."

It appears that MID is still not fully digital unlike the C-Class, which is very disappointing. Or is it there in the Progressive model? Because it appears that the OD reviewer was driving the base model.

Its sad that they are now giving us the GLC-200 instead of GLC-300. The engine was the best part of the overall boring car.
Mercedes did the same thing with the E class, E-220 instead of the 250.
