If you could buyback an ex-car of yours, which would it be?

There are several cars I would like to buy back, and even have a garage page dedicated to them (link)

That being said there are 4 that really stand out, and would make it to my fantasy personal auto museum:

1) 2006 Ford Fiesta TDCi ZXi (though I would much prefer the 1.6 S) - the car I learnt to drive on, and it really set high standards in terms of fun to drive. It wasn't quick, but had a beautiful suspension set up!
We had this car for about 98,000kms, which is the longest we've driven any car in our garage + it was the first car at home on which I managed to get a bass tube

2) 2004 Mercedes E270 : This was my daily drive from 2011-2012, and second car from 2012-2014.
Since 2004 I've had a love hate relationship with the car - loved the engine, the ride & handling; but despised the niggles, problems, and other childish tantrums.
But those 2 years really blew me over - the first time I got the tail out, the solid manner in which it just eats up miles, etc.
Sadly lack of use saw it make it's way out of the garage.

3) 2002 Mitsubishi Galant V6 (2009-2011) : Simply put - college + V6

4) 2008 BMW 525D E60 : This is the one car I would regret letting go the most. This car has had me grinning each and every time I have driven it & boy, does it live up to BMW's reputation of being the ultimate driving machine!
My F30 328i is a lot more quicker, nimbler, and aggressive - but this E60 was a legend that none of the F & G cars come close to.

My old Ambassador. It was sold off to collect money for my dad's operation. Both of them survived a few years after their separation. The car was doing to and fro on Bhopal-Indore highway. I really really wanted to buy it back as soon as I could save some money, but I was just a 12 year old boy then and by the time i could start making money, the car was scrapped off.

2009 Ford Fiesta 1.6 ZX1

The black beauty was with me for about 6 years. This was the one car I liked most but why did I sell?. No definite answer - just put her in among friends, though not 100pct ready to sell. One known guy came and paid the full money and took the car.

I was just stunned because I was not 100pct ready to sell her. After that, for a few days, I felt very sad or loneliness whenever I look at the car porch. So much I loved that car.

We have owned and sold a large number of cars over the years but there is only one car that I have the most fond memories of, and that is no other than our lovely moonbeam silver Maruti 800 EX 5S 12V MPI. This car was bought on 15th of September, 2001 and had stayed with us for just over 5 and half years after which we sold it for an upgrade to an Alto.

Now coming to the main topic, this 800 was the car I spent most of my childhood on, it didn't stay for a very long time in our home, but the memories made in it were very huge. I fondly remember how me and my brother would sneak into the car and would play songs of that era like Dil Hai Tumhara, Dhadkan and would sing at the top of our lungs with the windows closed so that we don't get a thrashing from our parents and how I misunderstood the 5 speed decal in the rear thinking that it had 5kmph more top speed than those Maruti 800s that didn't have the decal

The car was within my close circle until the owners decided to sell it off since they bought an upgrade. But I am doing my best to keep track of it, and once I start earning and get my life sorted financially, this will be the first thing I'd buy with my money, a promise that I've made to myself years ago

It would be the Fiat Elegant, anyday. Back in the days, I used it to learn driving and its an emotional attachment to me since then - It was a breeze. We had to let it go due to parking space constraints and I still regret it.

What a fantastic free-revving engine. And that huge sofa of a backseat. Very friendly to all sorts of upgrades I did to her.

Sold impulsively in 2014 just to upgrade to the newly launched new City back then (boy, what a wrong decision that was!) If only I had realised I was actually "downgrading"!

My mother still swears by that silver beauty, and remembers it fondly even today.

Regret it.

Scratch that. I am still regretting it.

Toyota 4 Runner I had in the US - 4.7 litre V8 4X4, Felt majestic and above all else! The shove from the huge NA engine was addictive.Did a serious education of whether I could bring it back to India, but RHD versus LHD was too big of a difference.

Slightly off-topic, since I am still having my own 1st car and lovin it.

If one ex-vehicle I could get back, it would be my P220 FI.

I had it in my college days (09-12) and P220 was relatively fresh on the block since not many trusted a FI on a Bajaj for 85 grand. But those who trusted it were left with face-wide grins all day long !

I clocked up roughly 18k on it before I had to ditch it for my car (plus a sensor problem which caused obscene knocking sounds). But the crisp throttle, the parabolic projectors, urgency on twisting the throttle plus the slow rumble while cruising were intoxicating to say the least ! I wish Bajaj does come out with a P250 with the similar lean look and I'll be running to the showroom 1st thing in the morning.

It wouldn't be a rational decision *at all*; but if I'd like to have a past car back, it'd be the Opel Corsa Sail. Subtle looks, terrific build, interiors that'd look modern even today and a delight to drive (not from an enthusiast's point of view). But a white elephant like no other; in part because of the poor FE and then, the costly spares (and lack of OEM support).

Just look at the tushy!
