Honda is now offering anytime warranty up to 10 years / 1,20,000 km on its cars.



Anytime warranty gives a coverage of 1 year / 20,000 km. For a car to be eligible, its age should be less than 7 years from the policy start date and its odometer reading should not exceed 1,00,000 km from the vehicle sale date.

Customers can opt for anytime warranty even after the standard or extended warranty has expired.

Select the anytime warranty tab. That one shows till 10th year.

The anytime warranty is actually full paisa vasool. I took it for my 2012 Civic till 7th year, because that was the max you could take until now. But it was totally worth it. Changed so many expensive parts in that warranty. Trying to find out if I can buy again. If yes, Im signing up for it .

You have to renew this anytime warranty every year. You cannot just purchase lumpsum 10 year warranty plan unfortunately.

This is excellent if true. Back home for our Brio we buy extended warranty every year (7th year running now). Hopefully we can get the extended warranty for rest 3 years now.

As for my new Jazz CVT, i got upto 4th year warranty while buying new. Can I buy 5th to 10th year warranty now itself or do i have to wait till 4th year ends?

It's 7.5 months and 8100kms old currently. Have placed an enquiry via the online form. Let's see what the dealer has to say? Last time I enquired about 5th year warranty they told I have to wait till 4th year warranty ends and only then one can buy 5th year warranty and so on.

10 years and 1,20,000 seems just right for petrol models atleast

Atleast one positive from this slowdown in vehicle sales, manufacturers offering better warranty packages. (hopefully the accept the claims and not give excuses that it is not part of extended warranty etc , yes I am looking at you Nissan)

God bless Honda . As someone who keeps his cars for long & loves extended warranties, I welcome this move. Good thing is, it takes one manufacturer to offer something new, before the others start. 5-year warranties were rare last decade, but are commonplace now. Many brands are now offering 7-year warranties. I hope "10 years" becomes the new "5 years" soon.

I don’t see this being applicable to my Honda Mobilio V I-VTEC as I do not see the model listed in the website.

I would advise to take caution in selecting a model wisely as some of the models like jazz and brv may be speculatively on the verge of discontinuation. Of course I believe this should be validated thoroughly but beyond warranty parts cost may be higher than expected.

Had the exact same case for our City. It'll turn ten next year so no chance of getting it now. I've got only three parts replaced since buying the car; almost broke even with the cost of the EW but I'd rather have the peace of mind. Says a lot about Honda quality from the past decade.

Not sure why model discontinuation should affect buying EW. A manufacturer has to commit to 15 years of spare parts availability after discontinuing a model; so, when parts are available, getting them replaced through EW wouldn't be a problem at all.

How and when should I get this warranty? As of now, I plan to keep this car at least 7-8 years.

Good question. My 2019 City is covered for 5 years extended warranty which I received when purchasing the car. Now, to extend this to 10 years, at what point do I need to purchase the warranty - can I do it now, or do I have to wait till the completion of the 5 year warranty?

Its there. You need to select "Any time warranty" tab (just above picture) to see the pricing for all models including Mobilio petrol (IVTEC). Screenshots below with pricing.
