She’s been with me for over 3 years and stills feels and drives like new, love the character she displays when driven hard.

Wow...interesting thread and sorry for long Boring Post.

My Mom says, my Father had an Ambassador Car, Matchless Bike and a BedFord Lorry in Late 70s but I never remember that. By the Time I grew up we didn't had anything, other than Farm machines such as Tillers & Diesel Engines for Watering Paddy Fields & Areca Garden.

I learnt my Bike Riding skills in 90s in my uncles' Yezdi RoadKing & Java Bike.

Once I finished my College in 1997, my first Bike (My own) was Suzuki Samurai. I went to US in 1998 and I asked my Brother to sell off this Bike.

I learnt Car Driving in US, in an old beaten up Honda Civic and once I got my Driving License in late 1998 in California State, I bought my First SUV. A Fully Loaded Isuzu Rodeo V6. I travelled with this car all over southern States in US and After driving it for 90,000 Miles I sold it off and returned to India in 2002. I loved this car and I enjoyed driving it. Also in US I have driven almost all types of Cars (Rental Cars) since I was travelling around US as part of my Job and rented Cars from Hertz (The Company which I worked in US rented cars only from Hertz)

As soon as I returned to India in 2002, I Picked up a Second Hand Ford Escort Diesel and gosh this car nearly emptied my Pocket. This Car always gave trouble to me whenever I sat in it. When Others, (like my Brother or Uncle) used it, it ran flawlessly. It was breaking down constantly and I spent a lot of money on this and later I became Wise (Better late than never) and sold it off.

Then Again I was in Toronto in late 2003 and I was driving Toyota Corolla there (during Winter). Meanwhile in India I purchased new Scorpio in 2003 and a used Hero Honda Splendor and RX100. I returned to India in Early 2004 and I came across a Tata Sierra in mid 2004 and I liked it and hence bought it also.

Though I kept Scorpio for 2.5 years, I never Liked Scorpio and hence I never used it much. I gave it to my Mom to use it (Hey guys Don't misunderstand me. Somehow I didn't liked the Scorpio but my Mom & my Brother and my Family loved it) and I used to drive Tata-Sierra in Bangalore. Then in 2006 I sold off my Scorpio and bought a Tata-Safari. Kept Tata Safari for 8 months and Sold it off along with HeroHonda-Splendor and Yamah RX100. and continued using Tata-Sierra. In begining of this year (2008) I bought a used Fiat Petra and a Used 1982 Model Enfield Bullet. I rebuilt my Bullet to its Originality and liking it very much.

Currently I am very happy with Tata Sierra, Fiat Petra & Enfield Bullet.

Cars I liked Driving Abroad:
1. Isuzu Rodeo V6.
2. Jeep Grand Cherokee V6
3. Toyota Corolla V6.

Cars I liked Driving in India. (Personal Opinion)
1. Tata-Sierra.
2. Tata Safari
3. Fiat Petra

Future Car I would like to buy:
1. Fiat Linea.

I have driven almost all Bikes in India (till say Late 2007 Models) and the best Bike-Riding I liked was (again Personal Opinion):
1. Enfield Bullet.
2. Yezdi RoadKing.

I wish I hadn't sold my car.

Hey guys. This post is to go down memory lane and post pictures of a car that you so dearly loved but have sold and now wish you hadn't sold it in the first place.

Well, to start with, this is my, or rather was my naturally aspirated 89 Zen. I sold it four years back after giving it a complete new paint job, interiors upgraded to the Zen vx style, Leather seats, central locking, power windows. Installed a dual exhaust that I got made by immitating the Holley twin exhaust silencer which incorporated the free flow tube. Will explain that later with pictures for people wondering what it is. K&N Filter fitted into stock breather. Also had a auto Guage RPM monitor and suzuki headers imported from Thailand. BSA rims with GT2's, JVC Indash cd player.

I loved every aspect of the car. Its sweet gurgle sound and the note of it going silent at high revs and then suddenly clearing its throat with that sweet exhaust note was simply amazing. For you wondering, it could touch insane speeds as far as 90kmh on 2nd gear at max rpm. the 3rd pulled it to 120 and trust me, the end of the speedo was its limit on top gear.

I sold it cos I moved up the ladder to the canvas of cars, the Mitsubishi Lancer. But I didn't do much to the latter as I so dearly missed my Zen. Well, here are pictures of my old ride, with the old plates. I changed them too later on.

Hmmm...Rampur registeration, B-series. Can't be an '89 Kapil, 'cause Zen's weren't available then & neither was that number series introduced either! From the colour I guess it's a '99?

In keeping with the trend, I sold my beloved 1992 Nissan 300zx Twin Turbo last week.
I had to sell because I will be in India mostly now and travelling back and forth. Having a small car like this one does not make sense. I had made a few mods such as megan racing stainless steel split downpipes and straight pipes and Unorthodox racing Aluminum lightweight underdrive pulley. These mods pushed my stock horspower of 300 to 345 at the crank. I am now looking for Mercedes G wagen/G Class in India.

Here are the pics.

iraghava, you are right! the 2 alphabets before the number was introduced in 89/90 and for it to come to Bseries? unless it was re-registered but still 89 was when the 800 was still Ruling!

Haha great fun to read! Instead of being long and boring, I found it very quick, like you did all the buying and driving and selling in a day!
