For name sake they changed the tail lamp assembly and rear door handle. and a "beatiful" spare wheel cover.

Not even one person in this forum liked the changes. Wondering whom did "they" kept in mind when "designing" the changes.

I guess some ex-Maruthi model designer|spoiler has joined Mahindra..

Instead of a Maruti guy, they should have poached a Hero Honda guy. A sticker upgrade would have been fine (Bolero* ?).
Anyway, contrary to the general sentiment here, I dont hate it all that much.

One of the main reasons the bolero is India's largest selling UV is because it is cheap and the new model gets even better,

Auto major Mahindra and Mahindra on Friday, slashed the price of its new version of the Bolero by Rs 37,000 even as it launched an upgraded version of the vehicle.
An entry-level Bolero would cost about Rs 4.58 lakh from Rs 4.95 lakh, while a top-end Bolero is priced at Rs 5.58 lakh from Rs 5.74 lakh.

Bolero Design

These guys are worse than the Koreans at design, I thought M&M could not make it uglier. They have suceeded.
Tata is the clear leader of 'designed in India' cars.

It looks really bad, what were they thinking?

Btw.. I suppose this facelift is just to fill the gap between now and the new Bolero that mostly will be launched this year! The new Bolero will have a totally new look with a monocoque(spell check) chassis and a new CRDI engine!

I've been having stomach cramps ever since i've seen what Mahindra has done to my favorite Indian car!.The designers there should be drawn and quartered.Bad enough they've made the Scorpio look like a hooker with over the top make-up!.Now this!....

Well, I've got mixed feelings.

I agree with the crowd that they simply have spoiled the looks. In it's earlier avatar with square mean design Bolero had class of it's own.

While that said, they have made some genuine changes
a. New placing for Hand brake, earlier it was really oddly place making it difficult to use when I test drove it.
b. Repositioning of HU as earlier it was placed at hard to reach place.

It seems they are listening to customer. But yes, they have killed that macho look of Bolero...

They messed up, fine, but boy do I have the time to care (especially for such a car)?

However, why did they even think about wasting the time or money to change the look of something which does not matter (at all).

Worse still, Does the market to which the Bolero caters to, care?

Someone said probably the taxi segment wherein the visual proximity to the Scorpio could be of a benefit, but then, dear all what is the Scorpio M2DI for? Exactly the Taxi segment which wants the running economics of the Bolero with the looks of the scorpio.

Did this come from the same design team that did the Scorpio? I hope not!

M&M has discovered that they can cover the door hinges! They say it is one of the major improvements in the new model.
