Maruti Vitara Brezza 5 lakh sales up

Maruti Suzuki has claimed that it has sold over 5 lakh units of the Vitara Brezza in just 47 months since its launch.

The Vitara Brezza made its debut at the 2016 Auto Expo. Over the years, Maruti introduced multiple updates to the car. At present, the vehicle is also available in a dual-tone exterior with black alloy wheels, projector head lamps and black interiors.

The Vitara Brezza is due for a facelift this year. Spy images suggest that the sub-4 metre SUV could get a new grille and twin-pod headlamps among other updates. It is expected to be powered by a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine producing 103 BHP and 138 Nm of torque. Transmission options might include a 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic.

The Brezza had surpassed the half-a-million or 500,000 sales milestone in January 2020, which means the next 100,000 sales have come in about 12 months

Commenting on the SUV’s latest achievement, Shashank Srivastava, Executive Director (Marketing & Sales), Maruti Suzuki India, said, “Launched in 2016, Vitara Brezza has consistently received appreciation from its customers and critics owing to its all-in-one package of power, refinement, convenience, comfort and premium-ness.

Vitara Brezza is valued for its strong SUV stance and sporty character which gives the urban SUV a butch and bold look, making it extremely popular amongst the SUV customers. This is a testimony of our customers’ elevated support and love for the brand, especially in a segment which is traditionally diesel driven.”

Re: Maruti Vitara Brezza 5 lakh sales up

6 lakhs with a handicap due to limited powertrain options? Wonder whether Maruti would have hit 10 lakhs if they offered the petrol from Day 1.

Can't imaging the opportunity cost of all the missed sales due to lack of petrol engines in the initial years and lack of diesel engine now.
