Hyundai compares Santro with Alto

I guess its intentional on Hyundai's part to compare Santro with the Alto.

Referring to an article sometime back in economic times (source:Hyundai follows MUL strategy with small car-Business of Brands-New@ET-News-The Economic Times)

Before the new hatchback is launched Santro’s price tag is likely to be slashed bringing it closer to that of the Maruti Alto while the Getz will continue to compete with the Maruti Swift. Amica is expected to take on competition from the other small cars from Maruti’s stables — Zen Estilo and Wagon R.

So I guess its just a matter of time before the Hyundai's new small car is launched.

Its a calculated strategy by Hyundai
