This colour reminded me of this picture I clicked in a parking lot. Instead of having these stripes or other emblems, maybe they could have just changed the platform, engines and drivetrain and kept the stuff from Lexus -LX which looks so handsome after seeing these pictures of LC300

Toyota seems to have this fancy for such large grills in the recent times.

They have messed up Kluger, Lexus range by bringing the "snot brake" (moustache style popularised by Charlie Chaplin) style grille and LC300 seems to be worse.

Latest spy shots show the Land Cruiser has 2 types of headlight designs:

- Grades adopt either LED headlights or Halogen

- Changes to the grill too are evident

- The upper model in the pic below seems to be the entry grade the blinkers seem to be the bulb type and inside flashers, the front headlight looks like a tri- eye LED.

- the lower pic indicates an higher grade with L shaped LED DRL's and is equipped with tri- eye LED headlights

- All info are for the LC's for Middle East Markets.

Toyota has done a commendable job with the LC 300

They have successfully retained all the elements that have made it a success and hopefully added relevant touches in the interior and engine department.

The looks are spot on and carry forward the SUV lines and butch looks, looks like Toyota has played safe and done minor tweaks.

The 2022 Toyota LandCruiser 300 Series will be unveiled at the end of May 2021.

LandCruiser won't be in showrooms until late 2021 or early 2022.

The 300 Series will feature an aluminium roof, which has been "adopted to enhance fuel-efficiency through weight reduction", as well as lowering the vehicle's centre-of-gravity.

Four model variants have been revealed for South Africa – the source country of the document leak. The base-model GX-R will be offered with diesel, while the GR-S version from Gazoo Racing will be available with both diesel and petrol.

The range-topping ZX – expected to be badged as the Sahara ZX in Australia – will also be offered with both diesel and petrol powertrains.
Toyota is expected to offer the LandCruiser in two main forms: a plush on-road-focused vehicle, or a robust and capable off-road-bound four-wheel-drive.

South African buyers will get on-road comfort with the entry-level LandCruiser GX-R and flagship LandCruiser ZX, both fitted independent front suspension, while the rear-end will use a four-link set-up.

Suspension for the off-road LandCruiser GR-S – developed by Toyota's Gazoo Racing performance division – will be based on an updated version of the company's Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System, found in the current 200 Series.

To be known as 'E-KDSS', the system is expected to drop hydraulics in favour of electronics to adjust the vehicle's sway bars on the road, as well as allowing them to be completely disconnected for maximum articulation during off-roading.

A version of Toyota's 'Adaptive Variable Suspension' (AVS) will be fitted to both GR-S and ZX grades, which uses computers to either stiffen or soften the shock absorbers, depending on the road surface. Drivers can also select from five different driving modes, as well as customising their own preferred set-up.

While the GR-S will get differential locks front and rear, the range-topping ZX will instead be offered with a torque-sensing limited-slip differential.

The ZX also get more luxurious appointments, such as 20-inch wheels, illuminated side-steps, and a kick-sensor for the tailgate, while the GR-S will get 18-inch wheels, "pipe-type" side steps, and black exterior trims.

The retro grille design with 'TOYOTA' spelled out across its centre will be optional to GR-S buyers.

Both GR-S and ZX model grades will also get a 360-degree camera with '3D multi-terrain monitor' with 'see-through view', allowing the driver to see obstacles and place wheels accordingly during off-road driving.

To ensure the system works off-road, the rear camera gains a washer system to clear dirt and mud.

In recent days, spies have also spotted '70th Anniversary' badging on some vehicles, confirming a special edition will be offered to celebrate the LandCruiser's milestone birthday this year.

the GR-S (available with both gasoline and diesel engines) will be the only one to offer electronic Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS) technology with front and rear differential locks.

The ZX version will be the most luxurious version of the bunch, complete with chrome accents and 20-inch wheels along with wood trim and leather upholstery. Only the top-spec model will get a rear-seat entertainment system with dual 11.6-inch touchscreens. The GR-S will adopt different bumpers and grille as well as 18-inch alloys and a carbon-effect trim inside the cabin. Both flavors will share a 12.3-inch infotainment and a 14-speaker JBL sound system.

Toyota will sell the Land Cruiser ZX and GR-S with a 3D Multi-Terrain Monitor system featuring an underbody camera. Both trims are also coming with a washer for the rearview camera, albeit the image included in the leaked internal document shows a dusty LC200. Four-zone climate control and a head-up display will be offered on the higher-end trim levels.

The new (2022) Toyota Land Cruiser has been spied on multiple occasions revealing a number of details. Now, a fresh document has leaked online revealing the debut date of the SUV.



If the leaked document is to be believed, the 2022 Toyota Land Cruiser will have its global unveil by the end of May 2021. Apart from the debut date, the document also reveals that Toyota could introduce the Land Cruiser in three variants, including a GR Sport trim.



The Land Cruiser will be offered in GX-R, GR-S and ZX trims. All trims of the new Toyota Land Cruiser will come with a host of features, both inside and out. This includes LED headlamps with LED DRLs, plenty of chrome elements all around, large 20-inch alloy wheels on the ZR trim and LED tail lights at the rear.



Inside, the new Land Cruiser will come with premium leather upholstery with wood inserts, rear-seat entertainment with dual 11.6-inch touchscreens, four-zone climate control, heads-up display, 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity and plenty others.



The powertrain on the 2022 Toyota Land Cruiser is yet to be revealed. However, as per the leaked documents, the SUV will be offered in both petrol and diesel engines.

Power and Torque for the 3.3L V6 diesel is roughly 100bhp and 200Nm higher than the 2.8L GD6 diesel available in the Prado/Fortuner/Hilux.

Just a thought, with the prices going further north with the new LC 300, I wonder how many buyers in India would actually be looking forward to getting their hands on one. For instance the 4x4 purist might not want to take a 2Cr+ ride off-road and those who want a lifestyle vehicle might not be looking to get a T badge on a 2Cr+ ride.

From what I hear from a source in Toyota India, already many people/existing owners of the previous generation are waiting (Some are ready to drop in booking amounts too) to buy this new generation Land Cruiser as the previous generation has been around since almost 15 years now.

My eyes and mind have been tuned after watching more images, I kind of like the looks. Not a elegant, but not overdone too. Front is a bit more busy to my liking, but better than boring lines.
