When every penny counts, this should have been done a long time ago. Last year I purchase Santro Sportz in cng form and if this would have been available, I would have gone for it hands down. Now they should introduce cng in all their current petrol cars i.e. Tiago, tigor, Altroz, nexon and punch. With Hyundai having 6-8 weeks waiting period, these could easily sell another 1500 to 2000 on a monthly basis.

I am currently in the market looking for CNG cars and this news has come as a relief. Was evaluating between Wagon r and Santro cng, but this definitely is the more safer option out of the lot.

I am looking for a small car for city riding and would like to know the service & spare parts costs. Our FNG mechanic informed spare parts costs of Tiago is quite high - he also cited an example of a suspension arm costing ~ 5K which is quite high.

It would be helpful to know -

1. what is the average total bill during 1st/ 2nd or later service?
2. Is it more or less compared to let's say, a Wagon R?

Also, how much should a '21 XT trim Tiago (~9K on odo) cost?

I own Tiago NRG 2019 petrol and the cost of paid service is 5.5K approx. It is NOT at all more than Wagon. I had owned Estilo from 2010 to 2016 and that time the service cost was 7K odd so you can imagine what's going on. I switched to TATA tiago for two reasons. In Bangalore I am getting good service from KHT motors, Mahadevpura. I could see MID mileage of 24.6kmpl last week when drove to airport. Consider error of 3kmpl as max and still you get well above 20kmpl. I kept 80kmph speed which is the limit with light foot. Secondly I get superb ride quality as it is a heavy car with superb suspension and yes, confidence in mind that we are in 4 star safe car throughout..
My suggestion is to go with Tiago, eyes closed... 9K is nothing.

Check if the owner has already done that and I think as long as you are in original default warranty period, you can always go for EW or AMC. Just confirm with a TATA dealer in your area.

Tata Tiago CNG, Tigor CNG will be launched in January 2022. Unofficial bookings for CNG powered variants have commenced.

Both are expected to be powered by 1.2-litre NA petrol engine.

Good move by Tata.. A little late though. Also, What is with the manufacturers to not offer CNG and Autobox as a combination?
I hope that Tata understands this and launches at least one trim with CNG + Auto/AMT combo.

Interesting to see CNG being available in the top end variant as well (looking at the rear wiper that's available only in the top end variant of the petrol version Tiago).

Is there any information about AMT variant availablity in the CNG version?
