Re: Tata Tiago & Tigor facelift launched at Rs 4.6 lakh & 5.75 lakh

I was eagerly waiting for facelift JTP. It looks like it is not going to happen.

True that. I read the article too. Pity. Let's hope something similar doesn't happen to the GT twins. We've already lost Abarth, JTP, VRS and a prospective Altroz JTP. And the new swift doesn't live up to its name. Let's see what the NIOS 1.0 turbo brings to the table.

Looks good, like a baby altroz. But isn't it a bad idea to dilute the premium design of their new premium hatch Altroz by copying it to their budget hatch? Just my thoughts.

Re: Tata Tiago & Tigor facelift launched at Rs 4.6 lakh & 5.75 lakh

Tectonic Blue and Daytona Gray seem to be more appealing than the rest of colors.

Striker Blue was the least sold/preferred color in previous gen Tiago, and it's been changed with better darker shade the Tectonic blue.

It's just my perception about color that this Victory Yellow is way too funky and not palatable (Sunburst Orange was funky but still OK)

Nios has similar tail lamps as tiago, and now tiago has similar rear badging as nios, small world

Saw the car in person, from long the rear resembled Nios. The colour was very refreshing.

I have booked the bs6 tigor xza+ Deep red colour. The car just arrived at the dealer fresh from the plant yesterday. Did the PDI and all good. The tigor seems better value for money and safety and hence I booked it. Will be taking delivery next week.

Congratulations on your new car! This is by far the best looking compact sedan! With the latest changes it only looks more mature and smarter! Wish you many miles of happiness with it!

One question - Has TATA also stopped displaying the variant badge on the boot lid?

Thanks a lot for the wishes!! Yes, TATA stopped displaying variant badges. I didnt see it in any of the new tiago's, tigor's and Altroz's.

For a tier 2 town I am living in ( hosur) the demand for Altroz is high. Surprises me and even the dealer experience was pretty good. I have seen 2 Altroz deliveries during my visit and i saw almost 5 to 6 Altroz in the dealer's stock yard. This is good numbers for a tier 2 city.

The red beauty is here ! Finally took the delivery. I am pleasantly surprised with the sales and delivery experience of Hosur showroom. Will post my initial ownership after I complete my Tirupati trip next week.

Re: Tata Tiago & Tigor facelift launched at Rs 4.6 lakh & 5.75 lakh

Can any of the new owners comment on the NVH of the facelift and general engine refinement? I read earlier in this thread that it has been reworked from the previous Tiago and should be improved.

I'm torn between Ignis and Tiago, I'm leaning towards Tiago on every front but the engine. It doesn't necessarily need to performance oriented, just good enough and most importantly, refined.

I own a tigor which has the same engine as Tiago j believe. The engine sounds the same. NVH is good and with the audio system the engine noise is not heard inside the cabin. Ignis has a better engine. The tigor likes to be driven in a relaxed manner. I am happy with the tigor so far.

It's a no brainer according to me; the Tiago is superior in every way. Build, driving dynamics, safety, interior quality, looks.

As far as refinement is concerned, the 2020 Tiago has been improved a lot since the first launch of the petrol. I've been driving a friend's Tiago petrol AMT quite a bit for the last year and I enjoy every drive. Trust me, you'll have no complaints as far as refinement is concerned.

I own a Vento TSI, for reference. Sure, the Tiago is slightly more vocal than my car, but no way is that a deal breaker, far from it. In fact, I'm contemplating on getting a yellow 2020 myself.

I agree with everything. If budget allows, I might consider Tigor. Safety is a big deal, but tbh so is engine for me. I am a sedate driver and prefer manual transmission cars, I've heard that the gear lever in Tiago/tigor had a vibration problem.

I just wanted to know if they've addressed these in the new models. I guess in the end, TD will help me decide best. I feel very much inclined to go the Tata route, just some doubts are holding me back.

I am on a 300kms road trip. The tigor is very refined and no engine noise can be heard till 90km/hr. Passengers both at the front and back liked the comfort offered by tigor very much.
