A test mule of a vehicle which is believed to be based on Citroen's sub-4 meter SUV platform for India has been spotted testing. It is expected to underpin a new model codenamed C21.

The new platform is expected to be a modified version of the platform that underpins the Citroen C3 and Peugeot 208. The test mule has a 208 bodyshell, which has been raised to accommodate the increased ground clearance.

Reports suggest that the Citroen C21 could be offered with naturally aspirated and turbocharged versions of a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel. Transmission options might include a 6-speed manual. An automatic transmission could be launched later.

They should just bring C3 (qualifies for sub-4m, not sure if C3 aircross can) to India.
can look at the Renault analogy with Triber and Kwid(and another SUV)

This sub 4m SUV category just doesn't seem to be cooling at all! We already have Tata, Mahindra, Maruti-Suzuki, Hyundai, Ford in here, and now Kia, Renault, Honda and Citroen want to enter this category. It's going to be the harshest competitive segment in the coming time.

With the way the Indian market is; I don't see Citroen set foot in India anytime soon. Whatever happened to the Aircross?

Still undergoing testing. The car has been spotted testing even yesterday by one of our forum members.
