I wonder how GM will sell this Tavera in huge nos. with such a price tag.
I hardly see a facelift!! At that price Innova wins hands down!! Gm should have atleast given a better taillamps and headlamps!

The " New Chevrolet Tavera Neo-2 " is out.

HYDERABAD: General Motors India on Tuesday launched the new 'Chevrolet Tavera NEO 2' Multi-Utility Vehicle (MUV) here.

"The 'Tavera NEO 2' is one of the most fuel-efficient vehicles in its class. It combines trouble-free performance with comfortable passenger accommodation," General Motors India Vice-President P Balendran told reporters here.

"The Tavera recently finished second in its segment in the J D Power Asia Pacific 2008 India Intial quality study. It has proven itself over the years to be a highly reliable, comfortable and fuel-efficient vehicle," he said.

Tavera NEO 2 has been upgraded inside out based on the feedback of valued Chevrolet consumers in India, Balendran said adding new features include a bold chrome-plated grille inset with a refreshed Chevrolet logo, and sporty decals running down its sides.

"The new Tavera demonstrates GM India's commitment to listening to our customers. As a result of the feedback we received, the Chevrolet Tavera once again raises the bar in terms of features and personal amentities for its segment, General Motors Sales, Marketing and After-Sales Vice-President Ankush Arora said.

He said the industry was likely to grow by 7 to 8 per cent as demand has improved during October.
Well the new features as mentioned by the official website are:
1)New Instrument Panel
2)Velour Upholstery
3)New Body Graphics
4)Root Wood Finish Trimming ( at the A/C vents, music system )
5)New Chrome Grille
6)Alloy Wheels

Basically, it is the same.

Tavera seems to be sold only at the base model level. Then why have they damn launched that 9lac one. It seems to me like they want to target some Scorpio customers, but they will not get any. Damn idiotic strategy by GM

new dash

That "new" dash just looks nasty. The HVAC switchgear and vents both look out of place and what's up with the funky receiver? Had they put the vents up top it might have looked a bit better.

I agree with the statement that tavera sells (whoever much) in base models.
