Re: The BS6 Tata Harrier with 6-speed AT. EDIT: Launched @ 13.69 lakhs

IMHO, Tata should drop idea of bringing Gravitas (7 seater Harrier). Harrier is a beautiful SUV and making it a 7 seater will ruin its market. You already have the Hexa (7 seater) which is a great car already. Improve it a little bit and try to sell more. No need to play with Harrier which is a great design.

Pratap Bose speaks about the 2020 Harrier.

But why does he say 18 inch wheels? That means they had a different version for the Auto Expo with larger wheels and all black interiors as compared to the production spec version.

One of the YouTube channel host says those 18 inch wheels might be coming as an option to the XZ+/XZA+.

Yes. Check the Tata Auto expo thread where I have mentioned this.

The Auto expo Harrier version had black interiors and 18inch wheels.

I heard somebody mentioning that the export version gets 18 inch wheels, whereas for India it would be 17 inch wheels with the same design. ( I am unable to recollect where I heard that )

Re: The BS6 Tata Harrier with 6-speed AT. EDIT: Launched @ 13.69 lakhs

I received the pricelist in Maharashtra from the dealer today.
The XZA+ DT is 24.7 OTR (excluding Extended Warranty) and equivalent model to current XZ is 21.5 OTR.

The BS4 models are going at a discount of about 1.5 lakhs. So for the same BS6 model customers will have to pay 1.8 lakhs more for a 30 hp power bump.

Difficult sell in the current market in my opinion when last month Harrier has done 718 units.

Wont be surprised if we get discounts in a couple of months.

I think it will make sense to wait and watch for a couple of months.

18 inch wheel with similar design will be available on the Gravitas.

Harrier gets 17 inchers in the same design.

Tata Harrier today looks like perfection , with both premium & comfort features.
This is how TATA should have launched the Harrier in the first place.

Do dealers usually entertain fitting bigger wheels (in this case, those 18inch wheels from Gravitas to Harrier) without voiding any kind of warranty ?

Do any dealers have stock of BS4 models left? I asked my local dealer a month ago and he said the last one sold out more than a month ago and he could no longer procure one.

Harriet BS6 XZA+ DT at 24.6L onroad Mumbai compared to Compass BS6 Limited Plus AT at 30.56L onroad Mumbai.

Features to specs, if you need a fully loaded 2.0 diesel automatic SUV - Harrier undercuts the Compass by a full 6 lakhs, with the major advantage (or disadvantage as per user requirements, as most buyers don't need it!) being the mandatory 4*4 option on Compass AT variants.

Will be interesting to see where the MG Hector BS6 and the XUV 5OO BS6 ends up in this price scale.

Forgive if this question was already answered. Is the auto gearbox of new Harrier same as that of Hexa?

No. The Harrier AT is a Hyundai-sourced gearbox. The Hexa AT is from Punch Powerglide.
