Honda BR-V prices slashed by up to Rs. 90,000

Honda has reduced the ex-showroom prices of select variants of the BR-V by up to Rs. 90,000.

The price of the petrol S variant has been reduced from Rs. 10,52,900 to Rs. 9,99,900. The petrol VX variant is priced at Rs. 11,79,000.

There is no change in the price of the petrol V CVT variant. Prices of all diesel variants are unchanged as well.

The Honda BR-V is available with a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 117 BHP and 145 Nm and a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder diesel unit that makes 99 BHP and 200 Nm. While both engines are mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox, the petrol unit is available with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) as well.

Re: Honda BR-V prices slashed by up to Rs. 90,000

I do not see this helping Honda much as BR-V is a flop model. The Indian consumers matured with time but looks like this is not the case with Honda. Their management should invest sometime in building a new strategy rather than focusing on reducing the price of a flop model. They should learn something from Hyundai and now KIA.

Re: Honda BR-V prices slashed by up to Rs. 90,000

Now Honda BR-V is a top contender for Indian car magazines' "Oddest Price Cut of the Year" award.

Up to Rs. 90,000 off, but only on petrol manual. Unless they have a huge unsold inventory of these models, this price cut makes no sense.

There were combined discounts being offered for the BR-V to the tune of Rs. 1L here in Pune when checked in December 2018. Its funny why they are making it as official reduction at the fag end of BS4 era.

Seems like Honda's last ditch attempt to revive an irrelevant model which many people, including me, have forgotten that it even existed

Re: Honda BR-V prices slashed by up to Rs. 90,000

Never cared for the car but after having sat in one being driven by an Uber driver in Bangalore, I felt like if all one wanted was a spacious petrol crossover for the city and wasn't too bothered about features, it is way better value than any Brezza/Ecosport/Venue or even Creta. The thing is spacious, cabin feels airy, has flawless ergonomics, offers a brilliant ride even under load (7 of us including the driver) and felt good to drive as well. In my opinion, the BR-V and the Brio ought to have been the flag bearers of Honda's product line-up in India considering the brand's current position in terms of quality. The City/Civic/Jazz all feel like they have taken a step backwards in terms of quality and premium-ness but with the Brio and BR-V you were atleast getting good value out of it. Pity both failed.

Or possibly just stock clearance to sell off all the remaining stocks before April.

Don't think Honda will invest to make the BRV BS6 compliant.
