Great Wall Motors @ Auto Expo 2020

Big shoutout to khan_sultan for shooting these pictures & his coverage of the Auto Expo. Thanks for sharing, man!

China-based Great Wall Motors had cars from its Haval and Ora brands on display. Haval presented SUVs and crossovers from its portfolio, while Ora had the R1 and iQ electric cars on display.

Great Wall Motors had a separate stand for its two concept cars.

The Haval Vision 2025 Concept gives us a preview of GWM's electric SUV of the future.

The concept SUV has twin-pod LED headlights with a blanked-out grille.

The Haval Concept H made its global debut at the 2020 Auto Expo. It's a plug-in hybrid SUV.

Haval F7X


The Haval F7X is essentially a coupe version of the F7.

The front fascia is identical to the F7. It features a hexagonal grille and slim headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights.

The rear windshield is steeply raked on the F7X. The wraparound tail lamp clusters are similar to the F7.

The R1 micro EV had its own separate stand next to the Haval SUVs.

GWM iQ


The GWM iQ is an all-electric crossover.

It measures 4,460 mm in length, 1,735 mm in width and 1,567 mm in height. The car's wheelbase is 2,650 mm and it has a ground clearance of 135 mm.

The front features slim LED headlights with L-shaped LED daytime running lights.

The R1 micro EV looks very interesting and capable of taking on the entry-level EV market if priced similar to the likes of the KUV 1OO EV.

Perhaps GWM should market it under a separate brand, or launch the halo SUVs first before launching the small car.

Is it an illusion caused by the camera angles, or will the driver have to look down to see the infotainment screen in the H5, and also to some extent in the H7? If the driver has to look down, it will be a major inconvenience while using navigation.

This line up reminded me of the Top Gear episode in which Jeremy Clarkson and James May test Chinese cars. Each of the Haval SUVs resemble some of the SUVs already on sale. Somewhat like a mix tape of different manufacturers.
