Senior - BHPian ![]() | ![]() Good pricing. Choosing between diesel and turbo petrol automatic is a tough choice. |

| ![]() Superb Pricing - atleast the introductory pricing. Just checked Carwale pricing for Seltos top End DCT and it shows 17.29 L Ex-Showroom Bangalore. The Creta with all those features at 17.2 L All India Ex-Showroom is very good pricing! If Seltos is Badass, Creta is KickAss ![]() Last edited by vsrivatsa : 16th March 2020 at 16:24. |

| ![]() Was waiting for this before choosing between this and Seltos since auto expo. The SX(O) diesel AT, with just 14k less (compared to Seltos top of the line Diesel AT), I personally cannot live with this new Creta design for next 8 - 10 years. Paddle-shifter is one feature I was looking forward; design took precedence over this one feature in my case. Still I would like to take a look of Creta and TD, before finalizing anything. | ![]() The pricing of mid variants and above are about 25K more than the equivalent seltos variants. In my view, this premium without much difference in equipment tilts the scales towards the Seltos. |

So the pricing is pretty close to the Seltos and the SX is equivalent to the Seltos HTX+ and the SXO is equivalent to the Seltos GTX+. Last edited by rkv_hunter : 16th March 2020 at 16:39. | |

| ![]() Now, this is going to be super confusing for a buyer. The pricing of both Creta and Seltos is all over the place and the decision to buy the right variant is going to be extremely difficult. At some points, Creta seems extremely overpriced but for a DCT it seems pretty well priced though a difference of 1.5 Lakhs from Manual to CVT for 1.5 Petrol is outright baffling. The Seltos AT HTX IVT, variant equivalent to Creta SX is 14 Lakhs ex - showroom. The diesel variants too are on the expensive side. Now, even the mid S Variant of Creta 1.5 is 11.7 whereas Seltos HTK+ is 11.5 ex showroom. My money is definitely going on the Seltos for the incredible package it offers, Yes! It lacks certain equipments but it offers a lot more value for money spent and well the design is outright smashing! To sum it up, I will label the Creta to be overpriced for Petrol 1.5 and the diesel. Last edited by YashD : 16th March 2020 at 16:47. |

Senior - BHPian ![]() | ![]() Had they made it ₹16.99L for the top model it would set the cat among the pigeons. But Hyundai has better reach and a larger network than Kia. I would consider this a smidgen more price-wise: Base at ₹ 9 L and Top variant for ₹ 16.99 L would have been a mouthwatering price. But featurewise it's loaded to the gills, that Bose 8 speaker system & panoramic sunroof must be great. Last edited by CrAzY dRiVeR : 16th March 2020 at 19:03. Reason: Typo |

| ![]() Between Creta S Variant and Seltos HTK+ the HTK+ variant is the one to go for. HTK+ has alloy wheels, folding outside mirrors and creta gets steel wheels and no auto folding. Creta gets auto ac over HTK+. I guess the S variant doesn't have DRLs like seltos. I liked the looks of New Creta a lot but like my seltos a lot better. Interior wise i find seltos fresher than creta's old style. What creta is outside seltos is like that from inside and vice versa. Info as per the attached brochure. Imho the correct variant to compare HTK+ is S variant. Last edited by psbali : 16th March 2020 at 17:05. Reason: Post quoted |

| ![]() I am still amazed as to why don't these guys offer Automatic option on the EX/HTK variants. All the Auto variants of Creta & Seltos are above 17L OTR (except HTK+ diesel) which creates a huge gap from 13L Venue/Ecosport. Creta EX Petrol AT at 14-14.5L would have hit a sweet spot IMHO. The main improvement observed is the entry-level variants look good aesthetically for people spending 11-14L. |

| ![]() Just as expected, they have launched the E Diesel and EX Petrol just under Rs. 9.99 Lakhs. The issue with the E variant is, it is so barebones (not even an Infotainment system, the old 2005 style 2-DIN black plastic plate that you remove and get an aftermarket ICE installed). Would have been good if they had launched the EX Diesel version at 9.99 lakhs. |

Team-BHP Support ![]() ![]() | ![]() Hyundai have priced the Creta overall a tad below the Seltos but have loaded it with more kit. That is impressive. The panoramic sunroof, digital cluster and the electric parking brake are 3 features missing in the Seltos. Personally, I would still go for the Kia cause of the styling but the pano sunroof and automatic parking brake are tempting features. Hyundai and Kia are going to have a lot of DCT cars in the future, Fingers crossed on reliability of Seltos, Venue, Creta, Verna and Sonet. |
