Looks like a guy with D&G suit wearing paragon sandals . Horrible choice of alloys for such a nice looking car.
Why there are so many QR code sticker everywhere? Quick overview of new features?

It seems Hyundai is hell-bent on spoiling the looks and they have gone a Mile further with these performance kits. Compared to these, the silly accessories offered by Maruti (on their 'Sports' variants) look superb

The least they could have done is chosen better colors to showcase these accessory kits (black perhaps).

Blue with red highlights is a polarizing choice at the best of times (looks ok on the Seltos though). Here, with that weird funky design, that silver side panel sticking out like a sore thumb, alloys that look like they drunk absinthe while designing them, is just pushing it.

I don't get a proper word to describe this kind of accessorisation. Utter nonsense from Hyundai. Creta was bought by people who wanted to own a non-offensive-looking car above the B-segment. The new Creta itself is a non-sensical design, IMO. These accessories take it to the next level.

Here's a very short video of the E variant. It is technically, a collage of photos of someone's TikTok update. At the 8 second mark, you can see the interior pic.

The video is not great, but if you can use some imagination, it becomes quite clear how it will actually look in real life/better videos.

Re: 2nd-Gen Hyundai Creta @ Auto Expo 2020. Edit: Launched at 9.99 lakhs

I think the new Creta is far far far better looking and more butch than the old one. Does not give me the 'hatch on stilts' feeling.

I am searching for information on the dimensions of the new Creta to compare it with the old Creta and other cars in its segment. Can't seem to find it anywhere. Can someone direct me please?

The side step looks like a towel/curtain rod . Why don't they have some sensible accessory instead of this. But people will definitely buy this as I see a lot of such accessories on the current generation.

Wish I could combine the exterior of the Seltos with the interior of the Creta. Would have been great.

@Nalin - Here's the dimension of old vs new

Length
4270 vs 4300

Width
1780 vs 1790

Height
1630 vs 1635

Wheelbase
2590 vs 2610

Re: 2nd-Gen Hyundai Creta @ Auto Expo 2020. Edit: Launched at 9.99 lakhs

Initially the all new Creta looked very weird and unacceptable to my eyes, but now it doesn't look that bad. Even in white shade, it appears striking to me!

Only the side profile is a bit ugly with those front wheel arches, silver roof panel and poor alloy wheel design. Thankfully the latter two can easily be worked upon aftermarket.

I specifically like the rear view of this car. Looks like nobody else in the market currently!

If you compare the Team-BHP reviews of the older Verna and the 2017 Verna - then there is a difference of night and day (in the positive direction) since the new Verna got the Elantra Platform.

.

The current Verna which was launched in 2017 is based on the earlier Gen Elantra platform, and the 1st gen Creta too was based on an Elantra platform, not sure which generation though. As far as I know, the 1st Gen Creta had nothing to do with the i20 and the current Gen Verna too is not associated with the Elite i20 in anyway.

Also, the whole aspect of Platform sharing within Hyundai is always not that clear, different versions floating around.

That's a very limited choice of kits. They should have also provided a "submersible kit" with sea blue color scheme and stickers of whales on bonnet, and a "space kit" with stars stickers pasted on the panoramic sunroof too.

I agree about current gen Verna (post 2017) being based on K2 Platform/Elantra Platform and there are no doubts about it. That is what I said in the post as well - what used to be criticized as a "boat" on team-bhp prior to 2017, is now well appreciated for its handling due to the platform change.

Can you share some reference/link which shows info on the platform of the 1st Gen Creta? I agree there is lot of confusion about it >

This car sure has polarising looks but it's going to sell like hot cakes for sure.

Also to all the people going to showroom to check the cars out hope all of you are taking all the necessary precautions, we don't want BHPians to be causing more trouble to themselves and their surroundings.

So you mean to say the reviews of team-bhp are purposely misleading and promoting creta in saying that the handling is neutral? I think the mods should check on the quality of the reviews if this is the case.
