And if so, how much would it cost.
From the handful of people who managed to drive the base E and petrol EX, the difference in performance isnt as drastic as the one between both variants and the turbo model. I dont think Hyundai will sell the 10" infotainment system because Kia does not allow either. Something to do with bluelink and other features I think.

Was invited to check out a customers EX Diesel delivery. I still cannot make up my mind on going ahead with the order or giving the Seltos a chance.

Managed to meet the service guy who assured me rear view cameras are plug n play and are now available. Other parts will arrive shortly.

Also noticed that unlike the HTK Seltos the EX Creta misses out on roof rails, rear view camera, rear usb charger and fog lamps. Suddenly even post Kia price hike the Seltos with its less offensive design manages to rationalise the choice. Autocar says the Cretas soft suspension(which I prefer for my road conditions) induces more body roll and has a lifeless steering wheel compared to the stiffly sprung Seltos.

4 months since launch and I am still as confused as I was in March. My city has more Seltos than autorickshaws and I am not even exaggerating. I thought the Creta will be unique because of the design but my dealer tells me they have sold 30 cars pre Lockdown and are selling in such high numbers despite being a Tier 2 City that Hyundai is asking Bengaluru dealers to move their stocks over here. He isnt joking, last 3 days I saw more white Cretas than Wagon Rs.

Re: 2nd-Gen Hyundai Creta @ Auto Expo 2020. Edit: Launched at 9.99 lakhs

Thanks, it does look like there is not much difference in acceleration times, based on the autocar review of the equivalent Seltos trims. The Diesel MT, the Diesel AT and NA Petrol AT of Seltos do the 0-100 run in 11.67, 12.91 and 12.06 seconds respectively. They did not review the NA petrol MT. 20-80 comes in 9.84, 7.54 and 6.70 seconds respectively and 40-100 in 10.85, 10.04 and 8.50 seconds respectively.

I think Crete’s design would age better. Yes it does look unconventional right now, but the whole thing is more coherent than the Seltos. The Creta’s body has a flow and simplicity versus the protruding bits and odd bulges here and there the Seltos has. The tiger nose grill looks good for sure on the Seltos, but the side and back profile of the Creta is more elegant in my view. Hyundai has learned its design lessons and the car is way more appealing than the atrocious looking previous generation Creta.

Re: 2nd-Gen Hyundai Creta @ Auto Expo 2020. Edit: Launched at 9.99 lakhs

My bone of contention with the Seltos design is that for the average Joe, it is far too easily mistaken for the outgoing Creta. Kind of makes sense that the Seltos has blingy headlamps, taillamps and wheels to make the design look different.

Its a tough choice:

Couldn’t agree more. The facelifted Creta looked the best, especially in the white shade with those diamond cut wheels!

Its a tough choice:

Really? I have the 1st Gen Creta and I find no similarities between the two apart from the fact that both have traditional SUV stance rather than like that of a cross over.
I always thought the Seltos is heavily inspired by the Land Rover Evoque, just like how the original Swift had taken inspirations from the Mini.

I guess the Creta had to win the comparo, even if it is by the thinnest margin! I seldom see Autocar not giving the crown to the new entrant in a segment.

The Seltos looks like a facelifted previous gen Creta body styling wise. It has more resemblance to outgoing Creta than this new Creta itself IMHO.

I had to re-read this more than thrice, good to know different perspectives though.

Weirdly I find the Seltos to be quite different looking that the old Creta. The doors are the only bits I dont like reminds me of Yaris.

As an owner of a Hyundai i20, I can safely say I'm not impressed with Hyundai at all.
The Creta SX does get LED headlamps.

Very very superficial IMO. Maybe he wouldn't wanna buy an Endeavour due to the Figo and would avoid the Passat due to the Polo. To each his own though.

As far as your query is concerned, more than the features list, I would suggest you to drive both the cars back to back and go with the one which you connect with. The thing is, in our mind, nothing is ever 50-50, there is always 51-49. You only need to discover the 51 part.

If you are still unsure after a drive, I would suggest the Creta for the added safety features which it provides.

My bad - the creta does get LEDs as well.

I will certainly be driving them as soon as they become availible for a TD, however since 3 months now Kia hasn't made the IVT variant available for a TD through Delhi NCR, and since about 3 weeks neither has Hyundai.

Being aftermarket, it still blends in well
