Got the best deal for the alloys. Boys were very knowledgeable, they knew about TMPS system installed in the stock steel rims. They moved them to alloys seamlessly.
They look neat, congrats! How much did you have to shell for them (post discount)? Happy miles.

Great. Thanks for the heads up. I was told by my dealer that I'll need to order new TPMS as the ones on stock tyres are riveted on the rim. There's a Creta owners group on Facebook that has a couple of nice looking Cretas with alloys that enhance the look.

Are those OEM 16" tyres? So the alloys are 16" aswell?

Is it fair to say that the Creta E Diesel manual is surprisingly well-equipped? Atleast, a relatively good deal compared to prices for cars these days. Needs some aftermarket stuff like parking sensors and infotainment, but can be brought to a decent spec instead of going for a more expensive variant. The EX diesel is Rs 1.5 lakh more ex-showroom.

EX is 2.3 lakhs expensive than E.
For 2.3 lakhs, you get decent music system, cabin lights, sun glass holder, shark fin antenna, steering controls for music system.
For 50k, one can get these features outside.

Retained the stock tyres. Yes, 16" alloys and tyres.
Ride quality is better on 65 profile stock tyres. 17" set up would have been costlier plus harsher ride.

Thank you!

30k. I was quoted 38k for the same alloys elsewhere.

Re: 2nd-Gen Hyundai Creta @ Auto Expo 2020. Edit: Launched at 9.99 lakhs

I checked out the new Creta when I went for service today. Overall, a good package. But I prefer the looks of Kia.

The rear looks ok in person than in pictures. Front looks decent, though I prefer the old Creta looks overall.
Interiors look much better than the old Creta. Hard plastic is not acceptable in this price range. Automatic gear lever looks premium. 10 inch touch screen looks big. The off white coloured upholstery will be difficult to maintain, especially with small kids.
Exterior looks much bigger than the old Creta. Standing alongside Venue, Creta looks like a SUV.
Sunroof looks fantastic. Sunroof and paddle shifters tilt the needle towards Creta.

I don't know why the 0-100 is taking this long kindly clarify.

Since in the Seltos it takes around 9.7 secs as per Autocar India.

I am not sure if he is using the proper terrain and drive modes. The Creta comes with three terrain modes and three drive modes. If he is doing the test with the wrong mode selected, that could be one reason. It could also be the road, it seems like a Kuchha road, does not seem like the smooth divided and traffic free highway where the best speed numbers can be demonstrated.

This reviewer (?) is taking off from idle RPM instead of revving up to 2k RPM before launch. This is resulting in slow initial pickup till the turbo wakes up.

Almost same in the Creta. I've seen Bunny Punia's video on this. Even in D mode, 0-100 comes up in less than 10 sec with Sport drive mode.

Drive modes do not make a major difference in flat out acceleration. There's hardly a 0.5 sec gap between Eco and Sport mode. I'm not sure about terrain modes though.

Building on the 2019 launch of the hybrid instrument cluster in the Kia Seltos, Visteon has further enhanced its regional supplier position in the digital cluster segment in India with the recent debut of its cockpit technology for the popular Hyundai Creta SUV.

As the country’s top-selling vehicle, the Creta’s bold and edgy design solidifies Hyundai as a leading automaker within the region. The SUV’s interior merges craft and comfort, while the cabin’s sleek look is accentuated by Visteon’s sophisticated and practical cluster solution.

Delivering standard 3.5-inch mono and the customer-specific 7-inch 'supervision' thin-film transistor (TFT) variants, Visteon’s cluster offers all custom platform features – from critical driver information to telltale indicators and warnings – presented in an easy-to-access and intuitive display.

The supervision cluster delivers heightened customizability with Drive Mode Shift – an innovative functionality providing the ability to access and apply different themes and skins, including eco, comfort and sport, based on visual preferences.

Re: 2nd-Gen Hyundai Creta @ Auto Expo 2020. Edit: Launched at 9.99 lakhs

Finally booked a Creta SX(O) CRDi AT after I was promised a delivery date of 15 july. Colour chosen is typhoon silver. Hopefully I will get a test ride by 10th jul as promised. So far the interaction is pretty nice with the SA. The GM had to intervene after I mailed Hyundai for early delivery.
Earlier I was told by many dealerships that the SX(O)AT is not being manufactured due to low demand and will reach showrooms by Aug end only.

Autocar's latest issue has a comparison test of the Seltos versus Creta 1.4 TGDI Auto's comparison test (below). The difference is not much as you can see - The Creta is 0.09 seconds slower (9.81 seconds versus 9.72 seconds for the Seltos). However, the Creta is significantly faster in kick-down acceleration doing 20-80 in 5.55 seconds (versus the Seltos' 5.71 seconds) and 40-100 in 6.66 seconds (versus the Seltos' 7.36 seconds). This will translate to better drive-ability and easier overtaking on the Creta.

If you don't mind me asking, what did you mail him, exactly? I've made a booking for the same model in Hyderabad, and the SA told me that it would be delivered in November due to high demand...
