BHPian ![]() | ![]() A fb group member shares how a simple scratch on the bumper takes the headlamp along.New Creta’s headlamp sits flush with the bumper and that too in the damage prone area of the bumper. Look how Harrier’s headlamp cleverly sits in a slight cavity to prevent such damage. |

I agree with your assessment as well. I love the Honda City's overall driveability. The engine is great and the steering is really good as well. It doesn't have a lot of play and is quite precise. The only feature I will miss in the GTX manual that I could get in roughly the same price in the SX(O) IVT would be the ventilated seats. I don't care a lot about the drive/traction control modes, Electronic parking brake or the BOSE audio system. I would get a punchier engine in the Seltos and better overall driveability, I think. The Seltos seems like a better option currently. Quote:
I was looking at the overall value add between the SX(O) IVT and the GTX manual. The GTX manual seems like a better option for me.

a decent upgrade to your beautiful VTEC motor. Plus you'll be opting for the manual, so no in-famous DCT issues. ![]() Everything said and done, PLEASE test drive both the cars and see what suits you best. All the best with your pick! Last edited by ashvek3141 : 10th August 2020 at 23:32.

| ![]() After seeing a few of the new Cretas out on the streets it suddenly struck me that it would be accurate to think of Hyundai as the Samsung of cars. They both seem to have similar values and design philosophies (and, going by this car, contempt for the “form follows function” adage!) Very, very far from being my cup of tea but they both seem to have the Indian market well figured out. |

| ![]() ![]() No offence to the respective owners. Seeing the great pics clicked and shared by members and owners here I thought the design of the Creta had started growing on me. I had even started accepting the rear design. But yesterday I saw a white Creta from afar and after one look I just couldn't come to terms with the design. The rear design for one is again back to something I can't live with. Even my family commented that why have they ruined such a beautiful design which the earlier one had. Distinguished - BHPian ![]() ![]() | ![]() The 1.4L SX(O) DCT in a rare colour shade - Lava Orange Dual Tone. Looks smashing! Thanks to Parag Nandi. Also, those who have booked the base variants E diesel & EX petrol have received this message from their Hyundai dealership: Last edited by RavenAvi : 13th August 2020 at 21:27. |

Expensive variants = big fat margins for both dealer and manufacturer. Not only cars this trend can be seen in smartphones as well. One Plus launched One Plus Nord for 25k 64GB base variant but they won’t be selling the same for some time. They are pushing 128 and 256 GB variants. As a result a customer who has to buy the same would shell out 2k or 4K more that he intended to in the first place. Sure each and every company has a right to price it’s products whatever they feel like but increasing the waiting period on the cheaper model so that the customer buys an expensive variant which is readily available is not ethical IMHO.

Ford used to have a 1.6 petrol fiesta as the test drive vehicle to let customers enjoy the performance and eventually buy the diesel. Good business trick.

Hyundai probably made very little money on the Diesel E Variant - the very next EX variant which has only the infotainment system as a key addition is priced 1.3 lakhs higher! Last edited by manson : 14th August 2020 at 16:56. Reason: Typo.
