On a side note, why don’t opt for the 5yrs / 50k wonder warranty? As you mentioned your running isn’t more then 10k a year; so that makes 50k in 5 years. You could save the additional 12k on extended warranty just for 1 year. Congratulations on the new ride!

BHPian ![]() | ![]() Thanks naveen. In fact, after shortlisting Creta, it was your post on ABS working as expected and RavenAvi post on this issue made the decision making much easier Quote:
a. I have driven present Honda City about 58k in five years. So 5 year 50k warranty was too close for comfort (though present drive may be less). If it was 5 years, 60k – I would have opted for it b. I could have waited till fourth year and then taken 5th year extended warranty if required. It was possible, but I don’t want to take that risk after reading through the thread on changing extended warranty policy of Volkswagen. c. Buying DCT, this extended warranty provided peace of mind and also from a cost perspective it seemed reasonable

| ![]() I drove a friend's Diesel Manual version top variant. The features added are brilliant. I absolutely loved the Panoramic sunroof and the Bose Sound system. The touchscreen looks crisp and is huge. I currently own the old Creta and I was amazed to see that the new Creta looks way bigger visually, front fenders and rear haunches especially. I still hate the looks though. Driving wise, the BS6 engine was very refined and felt really light. The 2020 Creta seems like a huge upgrade from the old one, but I still wouldn't buy it because of the hideous looks. |

| ![]() I saw a post on a FB page for creta. Someone procured a set of diamond alloys and the retail price for a piece is 5499, that sums upto 22k for a set of 4. Hope this will be helpful when someone is trying to negotiate in future. ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by Aditya : 5th September 2020 at 16:33. Reason: Image orientation corrected |

BHPian ![]() | ![]() Yes the rate is correct. With the alloy you need to order Hyundai cap also, which cost about Rs.1875/- per piece. Approximately total amount comes to Rs. 29500/- |

One a side note, I feel Hyundai has priced the alloys very competitively here considering the diamond cut design. IIRC, back in 2015 when I had inquired for the Diamond cut alloys of SX(O), they had mentioned a quote of 17k for a single alloy! ![]() I guess if one is already having the silver alloys of SX models, you can simply remove & put on these new diamond cuts. No need to purchase those seperately. Last edited by ashvek3141 : 5th September 2020 at 13:58.

I guess it may or may not work in case of the shoddy grey alloys in turbo petrol units which I would be going for.

The cap for Diamond cut alloy seems to be in different color. Not sure the design is same. In my case, I have ordered for the cap also. Please refer to my earlier post. I am exchanging my DCT alloy for Diamond cut alloy. Exchange price I got for DCT alloy is Rs. 12000/-. I am paying Rs. 17500/- for Diamond cut alloys with cap after exchange.

BHPian ![]() | ![]() Took delivery of Creta 2020 – Black Pearl – on Friday (04-Sep). The delivery process was smooth and features were explained clearly. Hyundai Motor Plaza was handling about 28 vehicle delivery on that day. But the planning was good and the process was smooth. Handing over ceremony was short with many customers waiting for their turn. Blue Link application was installed in my Android mobile (One Plus) and was activated immediately using the Car Vin number. Vignesh – SA explained to me the features and also assured I can request a person to visit me to explain the features again. During the feedback call the person asked me whether any visit is required by Hyundai person to walk through the features. I requested them for a visit and has been assured a person will visit me this week after fixing an appointment with me. Next day – Saturday 05-Sep – was spent in 3M, Anna Nagar. The following were done a. Paint Sealant Essential b. Rodent Repellant c. Silencer Coating Earlier I was planning to do Ceramic Coating, but looking at the cost went for Paint sealant treatment. This should hold good for six to seven months and then can decide on Ceramic coating. Today visited Jeewajee Car Decor, Anna Nagar to fix my 70mai Dash cam Pro along with GPS module. They did a good job with concealed wiring to 12V power socket. The video quality seems to be good, even at night. GPS and ADAS functions are also working. Have driven the car about 100 km in two days. Initial observations: a. Drive seems to be on firmer side and at lower speed undulations are felt. b. The cabin is super quiet (for a person coming from Honda City Diesel) c. The car is eager to sprint from the signals. d. Just touched 80 km speed for a short duration. The engine sound is addictive e. The MID showed about 9.8 km/l for this 100 km Few pictures: At the time of Delivery: ![]() After Paint Sealant: ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by AshBabu : 7th September 2020 at 00:56. |

One question - any reason why you opted to change DCT alloys? As per the brochure I saw Turbo variant comes with R17 Diamond Cut Alloys.

No – unfortunately Hyundai provides the top end Turbo DCT variant with R17 Grey Color alloys ![]() Only top end NA Petrol Automatic and Diesel variants come with R17 Diamond cut alloys. The R17 Diamond cut alloys looks fabulous especially on Dark colors. Hence decided to go for the exchange.

The Creta definitely seems to be the roomier than the Seltos but not by much. The softer cushioning, slighter relaxed recline angle and wider seats make the car more comfortable. The panaromic sunroof adds to the roominess and to couple this with the slightly softer suspension, Creta is definitely more comfort oriented than the Seltos. Hope this helps potential buyers. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.car...66.htm%3famp=1

| ![]() Suggestion to Mods - Can we have a tentative calendar for the posting of Official reviews? Would help a lot of buyers time their purchases. |
