Why has an "all black interior" become such a luxury?
Hyundai Creta by the looks of it, will only offer this option in the turbo petrol models.

If one wants a black interior, a decent set of features and cannot afford the top end model, what can one do?

Kia HTX (doesn't get enough safety features, my biggest concern) is my model of choice and fits in my budget but it offers beige interiors.
Creta 1.5 L petrol would be my choice but only beige interiors are offered for that engine choice.

The new Creta with the all black interiors looks quite good on the inside, I don't really like the beige (more whitish)/black dual tone interior.

I have a car (Honda city, 2010) with beige interiors and although the car looks airier on the inside, it is difficult to maintain and deteriorates quite quickly.

Coming to my views about the car,

On the exterior, the front end is acceptable but the rear is extremely ugly. Looking at the Creta, the Seltos looks like an absolute beauty.
The feature spread is decent but pricing is going to be crucial.

I wonder why any media person in the factory did not show the SX(O) version with the dual tone alloys in detail.

Even the dealership cars are SX or S.

Also it seems like the Turbo does not get the dual tone alloys in the SX O variant but gun metal coloured alloys with similar design.

The Mumbai Modi Hyundai dealership has invited interested customers to see the New Creta tomorrow which has arrived in thier showroom. Lets see which variant they have got.

2nd-Gen Hyundai Creta @ Auto Expo 2020

I had mentioned earlier that the ACC unit looked so boring and uninspiring because the display is so much smaller than the one in the current Gen Creta, leaving a lot of black plastic visible.
And now the base variants which have the manual AC controls look far worse, I cannot recall such a bad looking AC control unit off late! I mean the current Gen Creta has a much better design whether its with ACC or just manual AC controls!

You look at all the cars that Hyundai has or had, I doubt If there is anything that is worse than this in this regard.

They say looks are subjective but it does’nt seem to be the case with the new creta. Hyundai has played a big risk by the oddball looks of the new creta, i wonder if they will be able to sell all of the inventory they are manufacturing. The awkward looking car might turn heads but not in a way you’d desire, the front fascia, rear end and steering design is a big no for me.
Hyundai’s marketing with “advanced high strength steel” confuses me even more with the “trust” aspect.

re: 2nd-Gen Hyundai Creta @ Auto Expo 2020. Edit: Launched at 9.99 lakhs

I am in a huge confusion at the moment, there are certain elements I really liked about the new Creta and some elements are just too quirky for my liking.

I am in the market to get a new ride in this segment and would prefer picking a Seltos or Creta as no other manufacturer offers a good AT UV in this range for Urban use and I am really not able to come to a conclusion on which should I go for, would wait for the pricing to come in for the final decision which furthermore makes me wonder, a lot of consumers would be in the sam dilemma as me and it would be interesting to see what people actually end up buying.

Also, I believe Creta and Seltos has a clear monopoly in this segment especially due to the AT variants. Both Harrier and Hector are almost 2 Lakh + for the base AT Trims. The Ecosport AT is under 4m and touching 13 Lakhs for the Titanium+ which is quite expensive in my perspective hence it all Zero downs to how smartly Hyundai prices up the Creta.

Are the indicators in the EX variant at the bottom, where the fog lamps should be?

Yes the AC controls look sad, they remind me of the Fabia AC controls - just a few functional knobs put there without much finesse or flair.

I must say EX is decently equipped for someone with my taste in car interiors - functional and practical, without the bling.

Yes the front turn indicators are placed strangely at that lowest point on the front bumper. Don’t know how visible the turn signal will be to others on the road.
Never ever seen any other car with such low placement of the indicators.

Also i note that this car gets the ugliest looking flat bottom steering wheel of all times

Does the SX get the Bose speakers present on the SX(O)? Cooled seats? Apart from the digital console and 6 airbags, what other extra features are in the O variant?

Couldn't agree more. But remember XUV300's AC unit? Pepperidge farm remembers.

Even jokes aside, this car looks as if there were three teams of completely different tastes were working on it. The exteriors team must have been thinking let's make it look modern, the interiors team must've thought let's keep it classy simple and one team was there just for sticking that part of physical silver ring on instrument cluster with glue guns. At last, my mind finds it hard not to manifest the repulsion on my face every time I see this car in pictures.

Exactly. It looks worse on the base variant. Wonder why they went for a small fan control knob (yes, they wanted to accommodate the hazard button. But ). Looks totally out of place.

What did they exactly achieve with these tiny buttons for the air condition?
They want it to look spartan so that the buyer upgrades to the next variant or they just want to prove a consumer that look "Itne Paise main itna hi milega" formula?

God what have they done to a perfectly fine looking , please everyone , annoy no one design of the current generation Creta? Looks like some KUV100 design guys got hired for the current Creta and came up with a such a wacky and weird front and back design.

After the handsome Seltos, I am sorry to say that this is a serious step back in an attempt to look modern and cutting edge.
