This is the 1.5 NA petrol right? How do you manage 15+ in city? I cant get even 13 in Pune and I have a very light foot while driving. My fuelio aap shows 11.5 -12 kmpl.

Yes, it's 1.5 NA petrol and I'm stating the figure displayed in MID. So, either that or traffic situation due to Covid, one of them is helping the number.

Ok. I have never got that kind of fuel efficiency. I have a Seltos 1.5 Petrol which I forgot mentioning in my post above.

Pune roads are emptier than usual as well. I guess either Creta is more fuel efficient than Seltos or my light foot driving is not really helping and I should do something about it. 4kms difference in fuel efficiency is a lot. You have got the opportunity to calculate tankful to tankful figure as well?

One more thing. I have to work towards even achieving 12 to 13 kmpl as per MID. I keep an eye on the real time fuel consumption while driving.

Re: 2nd-Gen Hyundai Creta @ Auto Expo 2020. Edit: Launched at 9.99 lakhs

Still very early days with not even 4 digits on the odo. MID says 13-14kmpl with mixed cycle (50% traffic + 50% relatively open roads).

I noticed distance to empty numbers get miserly in terms of drop when I drive on the highway. MID numbers easily cross 17 kmpl when speed ranges around 70-100 kmph.

Yet to measure tankful to tankful. From my rough estimation I think the f.e. will be 9-11 kmpl in city traffic. 14-16 kmpl on the highways.

Hyundai petrols are no Maruti in terms of fuel economy.

Those silver skidplates should have been black on the Creta.

Can any of the new Creta owners comment on the rear-seat comfort especially with three adults?

I am having tough time choosing between Creta and the new Honda city especially based on this criteria.

In black, this thing just pops, I've never been mesmerized by a car like this in quite awhile, at night with those white DRLs and white projectors and pitch black body, it looks almost like a 1 crore+ SUV rolling away, of course its small but from a distance ita deceptively large. All it needs is a vantablack variant, tinted windows, and black dipped alloys

I just checked both out today - while Creta is quite acceptable, City takes rear seat plushness to a different level. Space, seat angle recline, material , padding - it's a no contest at the rear seat.

There is no doubting your take that the new City’s rear seat has more space and leaves a better initial impression. But it is also a fact that the Honda’s seats are prone to sagging. What is nice and comfy today won’t be after a couple of years. City’s ride quality for the rear occupants is as bouncy as ever. Creta rides much flatter with lesser vertical movements. It suspension is better and works more quietly, while road noise is also lesser. Creta’s rear seats seal the deal by also providing better thigh support and headroom, an adjustable recline angle, adjustable headrests and proper sun blinds for the windows. And the view out from that panoramic sunroof is just added bonus.

All this while I have been patiently waiting for Team BHP official review of the car. With lockdown restrictions easing up, fingers crossed for a review soon.

If my guess is right, the official review should just be around the corner. There have been many reviews released lately viz. the MG Hector Plus, S-Cross Petrol which were launched after the Creta infact. I believe the numerous Engine + Transmission combo and corresponding variant line-up is what is making the review of Creta a time consuming affair. But I'm pretty sure it'll be worth the wait for the most loved C-SUV.

Re: 2nd-Gen Hyundai Creta @ Auto Expo 2020. Edit: Launched at 9.99 lakhs

Took delivery of our White DCT SX O today. Delivery was good but due to rains it was a bit hurried. Didn't get a chance to drive a lot today. Just a quick trip for fule and back home. I will try and post more details once I get a chance to drive around more. I did get a chance to explore car features in details. While everything is smooth and incabin experience is just amazing, I have to say car design does grow on you.

I did find one glitch though. The welcome function isn't working. I enabled it from the menu, but when I come close to car with keys in my pocket, OVRM don't open as they should. I have to unlock the car with request sensor on the door. Not sure what the issue is. Has anyone else faced this issue?

I faced it too on day 1, press the orvm folding button once and you are good to go. You might have folded it using the button.
