Thanks for the images. Thanks for sharing.

Changes are so subtle that the facelift is neither bad nor exciting.

Mainly interiors aren't exciting, for few it can be boring too.

Third row seat belts position is interesting.

Diesel engine power and torque figures are impressive.

re: Hyundai Tucson Facelift @ Auto Expo 2020. EDIT : Launched at Rs. 22.30 lakh

Honestly, there is nothing new in the TUCSON. The car looks the same as the previous generation. I really don't understand how Hyundai can equip their smaller cars with so many features, but the TUCSON (which is the current flagship) seems a bit bare-bones.
As a consumer i feel Hyundai is not interested in selling this car.

This Tucson looks so pleasing to the eyes! It's simple and elegant and looks way better than the upcoming Creta in every aspect. It's one of the last few good looking Hyundai left.

Looks really elegant. There are subtle tweaks, but they have managed to keep the overall profile classy looking. Does Hyundai also use the DPF. / Urea system for BS6 compliance?

re: Hyundai Tucson Facelift @ Auto Expo 2020. EDIT : Launched at Rs. 22.30 lakh

The Tucson was always the better looking product and thankfully they haven't tinkered with it like the Creta. The changes are very minimal externally. The interior is a let down. It's a good car but doesn't seem to be a priority for Hyundai who is busy milking the Creta and Venue. With Kia's arrival I felt Hyundai will attempt to go higher up the price bands and target the 30 lac bracket with bigger products. Tucson could have been the first step but seems like it's just there to add to the list of products on sale.

re: Hyundai Tucson Facelift @ Auto Expo 2020. EDIT : Launched at Rs. 22.30 lakh

In my opinion, the current Tucson's exterior design is better than the facelift's and is definitely more timeless. The only thing about the facelift's exterior I find exciting is the integrated DRLs.

The true upgrades appear to be:
1) Passenger seat electric adjust, if it has indeed made its way to the facelift. Yes, I'm putting this first as this has been a legitimate grouse of almost all Tucson owners (including myself) and has put off many prospective owners.
2) 8-speed AT versus the current 6-speed AT (which is pretty good but not great)
3) BS6 engines (obviously!)
4) Infinity audio system versus the current Arkamys system (which is decent but not great either). I hope the Infinity system is truly better.

The other notable differences are:
1) All-black interiors versus the current dual tone ones. While I personally prefer all-black interiors, not sure if it was a good move considering most people in India prefer dual tone interiors with a sea of beige.
2) Not sure if the HTRAC is anything different from the 4WD system on the top-end model of the current Tucson. If it is, then that's an upgrade as well.

Everything else is already available on the current Tucson (including panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, wireless charging, electronic parking brake, auto hold, drive modes and hill descent control, and almost every other feature mentioned in the report).

re: Hyundai Tucson Facelift @ Auto Expo 2020. EDIT : Launched at Rs. 22.30 lakh

Honestly the dashboard looks very dull and unexciting. At this price tag, dual tone interiors with wooden grain would have been elegant.

Good that they retained the 2.0L engine making it BS6 compliant. I wish the steering will be more confident while cruising at higher speeds as the older versions had confidence issues while maneuvering over and above 100 KMPH.

It's disappointing that Hyundai have again given ventilated seats a miss for the Tucson. The cheaper Elantra, Creta and even the Verna gets it.

re: Hyundai Tucson Facelift @ Auto Expo 2020. EDIT : Launched at Rs. 22.30 lakh

I think this is the best Hyundai to go for, period, specially the diesel with 8 speed gearbox at the rated power and torque figures will make this an absolute monster on the road, easily BMW or Audi levels.

Well worth the small premium to be paid over a Seltos or Creta, Seltos especially with its high pricing and very ordinary build quality (couple of notches below Hyundai with ease) did not satisfy me at all.

Would have loved to have this with immediate effect, as buying a company car before March is best, however given how choked the city is with zero parking availability, something the size of Tucson is to be thought about.
