Can't say that. However all their video thumbnails have a similar style with the driver inclined on one side.

Haha I too watched the video waiting for the bit where the Vento goes sideways! Never came.

What struck me as interesting was the comment in the video that the Vento TSI as tested was a lakh cheaper that the equivalently specced Rapid variant. So if you want a value buy at the base variants go for Skoda and for a value buy at the higher spec variants go for the Vento.

Brilliant strategies by the VAG group but I think it's a bit late for that now. Two absolute gems of sedans though from a driving and power train perspective.

Drive on,
Shibu

Well, it is true! VW has removed the Polo and Vento TSI editions from the lineup. The online booking for the same is no longer available. This is all that is left as of now.

It is sad that such VFM offerings have been removed so soon. Is VAG really serious about selling their cars in good numbers across India?

Great. Please share the cost details too. Did you get any discount or were there some offers? Did you get any accessory?

I am also looking at the HL+ trim now that the TSI edition has been discontinued. Reverse camera fitted to the HU is a must have for me. In addition, would look for the spoiler and roof & ORVM wraps from the TSI trim as they look awesome on the sporty Polo.

I really love the carbon steel color.

A lot of my friends also expressed same feeling towards this color, as it looks like different color depending on surrounding /lighting
Few pics for reference

The handling charges includes the charges for number plate, fast-tag and few other things which total to about 3k. When I got my vehicle in 2019 i had this discussion with the Sales person. He connected me to their Head. Even he mentioned that they have not waived it till now. When i reasoned out further, he informed me that it includes FastTag charges and number plate charges as well. I was willing to pay for them so he calculated the things that are really essential and it came to about 3.5k. I agreed for it and he knocked off around 5.5k from the total price. So speak to them once you decide on the Skoda or VW and surely you will be certainly able to knock off 5-6k easily from the Handling charges if not the full 9k.

Congrats on the Carbon Steel TSi

Adding a very interesting picture of my Lapiz Blue TSi Highline Plus, that I took delivery of on Monday afternoon, in Bangalore. Had originally booked a Flash Red, but switched to the Lapiz Blue due to the long waiting period quoted for the Flash Red.

VW India discontinues DSG in Polo & Vento 1.0 TSI, replaces with torque converter AT-2020-polo-tsi-hl.jpg

My break up of prices is as below:

Original quoted OTR - 9.93L, with 5th year extended warranty, 10.01L with 5th and 6th year extended warranty.

Discounts offered -

1. Loyalty Discount + Corporate Loyalty Discount - 15K, got this by showing the last VWAG car we picked up, the 2019 Octavia 1.8 TSi L&K, and my company ID.

2. Corporate Discount - 5K

3. Reduced the ex-showroom price to that of the earlier TSi Edition - i.e. down from 8,02,500 to 7,89,xxx. This also adjusted the registration amount by about 2K or so - Total discount INR 15K

4. Got them to reduce the cost of the bumper to bumper insurance to INR 32K, all inclusive.

5. Got the extended warranty for the 5th and 6th year, at INR 13168 (Original quoted was INR 17168)

Also got the door sill plates (INR 1950) and the rear OEM sunblinds (INR 2600).

All in all, I paid them INR 9,48,000, since they rounded down the total amount. I think I managed to knock off about 53K from the original listed price.

PS: We know each other from college, Raghavendra

Will wait till I get back home to Trivandrum before I think about adding a reverse camera and maybe the OEM 8-channel OPS like I did in my now sold 2012 1.6 TDi Vento.

So what is this Comfortline Plus model? While Brochure does mention ex-showroom similar to Highline, the feature comparison show Comfortline losing significant feature when compared to Highline. VW and its websites don't agree!
