German cars for me. Teutonic, right up there when it comes to driving dynamics and technology. not always expensive, VW does make cars for people. and they hardly, so ever, break down. they do have their reliability issues sorted out. and not boring to look at whatsoever. can't say so about Mercedes though.
fuel efficiency is not bad too, and the new diesel wave that has taken Europe by storm could very well have been caused by the germans. the new diesels are very efficient. i test drove the C220 CDI some time back and it gave almost 9+ kmpl. not bad for a car that is producing 141 bhp and almost 31 kgm of torque(please correct meif i am wrong). i would call it Blitzkreig the way they have taken over the world, only if it wasn't associated with the Nazis.

I ll go American .. looks like i am the only one ... The reason being even VW is not cheap by any means.. look at the cost of the new Golf..
The german cars are great to drive. The American cars are gas-guzzlers but i love the pontiac marquee. It is more in your face design ..like it or leave it. very comfy.. all options ... considerably cheaper than Jap cars

Italians make Fast cars, then decide about the practicalities. The British, Americans and Germans make a proper, practicle car and then decide to make it FAST!

Though I picked up German too, some how just hate the Japanese Ricers. Yeah, Yeah! More Practical, More Economical, Better in all sence in India. But Just HATE EM'! *(dont ask why)*!

A money-no-problem car would obviously be german. but since that is a limiting factor, i prefer the jap ones. peppy engines, relatively low ownership and maintenance costs and excellent service are prime factors while going in for cars from the land of the rising sun. moreover cars like honda and toyota have a good brand image too.

Interesting to see that no one has, until now, voted for Korean cars!

We know Dippy loves Korean cars, he's even got a "1:whatever" scale model of a Santro.
