Voted Ford maybe cause I own one.
Checked most of the reasons for Japanese but I think even the American ones are nearly the same.
FE - Gives a decent FE. Not always a Gas Guzzler.
Safety - One of the best , if not the best.
Build - Built Tough , surely better built than a Japanese Car.

So not sure why American Cars are voted so low.

being an indian or asian, we can not possibly compete ahead of japanese car makers. but certainly koreans. buy japanese or indian cars.

Voted for German make but was confused between Japanese and German. It was a close call but affordability-wise Japanese cars are much better, I believe

Can't say German cars only, but I'd prefer European cars.

I don't understand how this 'funda' applies to the car preferences? (Jap or Indian?)

I voted for Japanese, since for me its the reliability thing more than anything else. I want to use the car the way I like and it should go on and on.But I also aspire for the solid build and ride of German cars.But that comes a distant second.

Every car is great at certain things. For example, I'd rather be dead than be seen driving an American car to a Friday night party. However, the Yanks do best when it comes to stomping one's authority at the drag strip. (mmm... Corvette ZR1 anyone?) The Japs make fabulous cars for daily commutes as well as leisurely drives (Miata, S2000). For everything else, ze Germans do it ze best!

My overall vote goes to Germany only because all the cars in my stable are from out there.

I currently own a Honda City.
Yes, agree that Japanese cars are known for refinement and reliability, But my next upgrade will be from the German Stable for their sheer build, stability and class

<Automobiles>
<<Japanese>> Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Suzuki, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Bridgestone, Hino, Isuzu...
<<Indian>> Tata, Mahindra, HM(?), Ashok L., Reva...
<<and Korean>> Hyundai (, now dead Daewoo)

<Electronics>
<<Japanese>> Sony, Toshiba, Canon, Epson, Nikon, Minolta, Olympus
<< Indian>> Videocon(collab?) BPL...
<<and Korean>> Samsung, LG

why buy korean when we can compete with them? buy indian products, they will improve by the customer demand. gone are the days of ambassador and fiat padmini. else buy jaapanese since we can not compete with them.

I guess German cars are the best in the world. They are not limited to the all expensive ones but they also produce great affordable cars also. VW is a great example, isn't it?

Korean for me...

After using a Korean car for the past 4 years, I will put my money on them again!
I would rather have a faulty door lock mechanism than a stuck accelerator pedal
