yup, both OD and ACI are now charging 60 bucks for their mags. Thats quite a bit if you ask me. For comparision, look at this.

I subscribe to Car and Driver, which comes from the US via airmail, and is then couriered to my doorstep by a local courier company (this is becasue their magazine were routinely flicked and sold by the postmen). For this, I pay US$ 20. That works out to Rs.76.6 per month. Thats an amazing price! The bookshops charge a whopping Rs.350 for each issue! Can you imagine their profit!!! Damn, till recently, I used to buy 3 month old issues from the ruddiwallah for Rs.75-100!

60 bucks is a lil too much. Atleast if you subscribe you save a few bucks.

Lambo, I subscribed directly online with Car & Driver and paid via credit card. Issues reach me by the 2nd of every month, latest.

I actually want to subscribe to CAR UK, but the subscription is way too darn expensive. Those hawkers, that the government plans to get off the streets, are a boon for me. Get almost the latest issues, for fairly cheap too.

as the poll suggests...i very much acknowledge autocar's popularity. thanks to its fantastic content and print quality. their overall presence in the automotive field is also impressive....the drag race initiated by them is really cool. BSM may lack the overall setup...but when it come to writing about cars/bikes with passion.....these guys are a way ahead of the pack! a perfect blend sarcasm and no-bullshit approach. overdrive....as you like it....nothing different.
