This was the 7 str Platinum Manual. Was missing the side foot step, front ventilated seats and curtain airbags. Found almost everything else in there.

Awesome, so that does confirm the boot is usable but not deep(more like Ertiga first gen that i had) On the other hand, split 3rd row seats make it practical and folded 3rd row is definitely more spacious than Creta i believe.

Looks like Hyundai tried to do something similar to Hector on the front grill but with those chunky rectangular chrome inserts it looks ugly and over the top.

Compare the depth of the seat cushion between that of the XUV500 and the others. I find the XUV one lacking lumbar support plus it is on the smaller side. So visually this space in the middle row appears big - but this is at the cost of comfort.
I always wondered why Mahindra did not add another inch or two to the middle row seat and make the XUV seating cushier.

To answer your question, Containers used for shipping the cars usually have doors on the sides for easy access to car’s driver seat. Refer to the image below.


Coming to the car itself, Alcazar looks garish even in the this shade of white. Too much chrome treatment in the front. I guess the lower variants will probably be better without the chrome treatment.

That's as good as a compact 7 seater can get. With 2.0L they have enthusiasts covered while the 1.5L diesel mill will attract those who like to clock some serious miles. My guess is diesel mill will struggle when loaded and petrol will deliver abysmal economy.

Overall like what I see and definitely Safari/Hector and even the Crysta have reasons to worry.

Quite possible. I believe Alcazar won't have fabric seats in any variant. It will be art leather in base/mid variants and leather ventilated seats in Signature variants.
