It will be art/false leather even in the top end. Actual leather isn't generally used in cars. Exceptionally, it is available in luxury cars as an option.

Completely agree. That explains why Creta is getting sold by bucketload, and claims to be a perfect SUV even though it is a strictly urban Pseudo SUV. The chrome, the tablet in the centre console, and most importantly, the BIG sunroof. This is what drives the Indian middle class to buy the mid segment cars . And Hyundai knows this very well. So definitely, this one will also be bestseller in the segment.

Prestige (base variant):

- 10.25 inch touchscreen
- Creta SX(O) semi-digital instrument cluster
- Rear parking camera + sensors
- 2 airbags
- Keyless entry & push start-stop button.
- Panoramic Sunroof
- Manual handbrake
- No Air-purifier
- Cruise control
- 6 speaker Arkamys Sound system.
- All 4 disc brakes
- LED headlights + taillights
Is there any picture of Base variant in circulation?
I was of the impression that base variants are not yet dispatched.

Also, who provides Panoramic sunroof etc. in base variants?

Unlike the Creta which gets 5 variants, the Alcazar is getting 3 in comparison so expect the starting price to start from 13-13.5Lakh ex-showroom. Also keeping in mind the 1.5L engine for a 7 seater, panoramic sunroof can be a way of attracting people who would not like the 1.5L diesel for a people mover.

As seen here no Air-Purifier screen on the centre console storage cover:

As seen here the manual handbrake:

17 inch alloy wheels for the base variant, Platinum as shared by Gaadiwaadi had 18 inchers:

And finally no subwoofer in the boot.

BHPian @devakj had shared the 7str manual Platinum variant pictures earlier and it had the features which were missing in this particular car, so this one has got to be the base Prestige variant (which is pretty decently loaded for a base variant).

Have a look at this video, the Alcazar with 17 inch alloys and a panoramic sunroof (spot it while the car is coming down from the truck, otherwise it won't be visible):

Alcazar in Starry Night looks swell!

Here are the pics, which I got from the Rushlane website! And, the version in the picture, is 2.0 Petrol (spot the 2.0 badge on the rear)!

You have indeed done a thorough analysis.

The Base variant resembles closely to the Creta SX in terms of equipment levels.
The Creta SX Petrol is price at Rs14 Lakh Ex-Showroom.
In that case, we can expect Alcazar base variant Petrol to land at about Rs15 lakh ex-showroom.

Agree. Alcazar has no real base variant. Clearly Hyundai is pushing for premium positioning for the Alcazar. I have a feeling Alcazar range will start around 15.5 Lakh ex-showroom, implying in Bangalore the range would start around 19Lakh on road.

With additional row of seats and bigger petrol engine I think the price difference will be more than 1 lakhs. May be in the range of 15.49 - 15.89

Will be interesting to see the base variant pricing against Safari which starts at 15L. Safari base trims are very poorly equipped, although there is the powerful 2.0 diesel motor as its USP. A reasonably equipped XT variant of Safari at 17.8L maybe will come close to the equipment levels of the base variant Alcazar?

I was looking at some of the walk through videos on youtube for the top end automatic version and felt that the ventilated seat buttons seemed missing .

Hope Hyundai is not protecting the price ceiling by dropping features from the top end automatic.

That could mean the automatic variants that are coming on YouTube at the moment are Platinum (O) variants and the Signature variant is yet to be seen.

Hi All,

I have checked both 6 & 7 seater in person today in my native.
Car looks grand and good from inside & outside. All technologies are incorporated well and premium.
But the 3rd row seating space is average and strictly for kids even we forward the 2nd row seat to the max and kids above 12 age will struggle on long journey.
Boot space though it's 180 ltrs in paper, the shape is not beneficial and even cabin size suitcase will not fit if we incline the seat for the comfort.
Signature (O) AT is coming only 6 seater avatar and 7 seater option is not at all available. so luggage space is very minimal with 6 passengers. we can keep only 3 back bags of size 25-30 ltrs each.

the additional wheelbase is nowhere seen and we can't use it to ferry 6 passengers and luggage comfortably for long journey.
Hyundai could have planned to launch 7 seater version in the top end automatic to compete with safari and upcoming XUV700.
Even the prestige (O) version, i have seen has all gizmos except ventilated.seats.
Digital Cluster and 360 degree camera are top notch and clarity is good.
As we all know, it's Creta with additional wheelbase and extra seats.
AT version is not a car for people who looks for 7 seater and use as 6 seater + to keep luggage by folding one 3rd row seat. period.

My comparison is with Tata Safari 7 seater as i have booked Adventure Persona XZA+ 7 seater and waited for Alcazar to decide on it.
Now i am more incline with Safari. will wait till the price announcement and finalize a deal.
On road is the key to the success of Alcazar. IMO, anything above 23.5L on road price for AT high-end will not worth buying this car.

Please let me now if you have any specific question, i'll try my best to answer

Thank you for the scoop. By any chance were you able to check on safety features like number of airbags and availability of ESP in lower variants?
