Creta top spec diesel is almost 22L OTR.
Tuscon base Petrol AT is 28.5 and diesel is 31L.
Alcazar Petrol should be 26-27L OTR while Diesel should also retail for similar price. Will go head on against Safari and Hector Plus. Being monocoque and with smaller engines, Crysta will be better off carrying 6-7 people with luggage. Creta will be more efficient and very much car like to drive. Game on and looks like a worthy contender!

I actually like the way the camo showcases the shape of the car. Especially by covering up the glizty front grill, the entire car looks more mature, void of quirkiness. And the camo being mild, is more like a special edition design a la some Louis Vuitton bags.

They very well could have launched the visuals a day before the media drive or even on the same day, then given non-camo cars to them. This seems like a change in their original schedule due to some other factors..

26-27L for the diesel? A 5L premium over the Creta? And how do you justify that, with the same engine and just adding a few more centimetres in length?

This should be cheaper than Safari/Hector+, in my opinion.

Looks are subjective but honestly it looks better camouflaged ! There are just too many cuts and creases which makes it look too busy.

One's got to give it to the Koreans for milking us Indians from cars to K-dramas. This I reckon is going to eat into the Hectors of the world as well as in a small way Creta's sale too. With the never ending waiting on the Creta people would be tempted to grab a bigger variant of the same car. In my opinion, brilliant business acumen and a good time to enter the market with a BS6 model right away. Should also catch the fancy of the those on the fence about the hector due to the Chinese legacy. That said, I still feel they have it in them to launch a full scale SUV like the Santa Fe. I for one would prefer that over the Gloster & Endy.

Creta SX(o) diesel manual is 16.07L ex-showroom. Hector plus Select 7 seater diesel manual priced @ 18.4L ex- showroom. I guess Alcazar diesel manual top-end will get a sticker price of 17.99L

The Alcazar will cannibalize Creta sales and that will be a good thing for Hyundai. Better they cannibalize themselves rather than let others do it to them! For some reason I find the Alcazar less of a funky soap-dish design than the Creta. The Alcazar surely looks more premium, poised, and complete. Hope Hyundai prices this one right!

18 inchers which will be available in the Alcazar are 215/55/R18s 95H, which are currently not available in India by any tyre manufacturer/for any car. Hyundai must have tied-up with Apollo to make it specifically for the Alcazar. Replacement maybe expensive!

Do these lines have any meaning? I'm not able to decipher it. They should have been more precise on something that will be India's next #1 selling SUV.

IIRC, this was also the issue with the 1st gen Creta SX(O) tire size initially.

215/60/R16 was not readily available, except for Bridgestone's.
