My personal feeling is that a company selling a 7 seater not withstanding the cost of car must give a 3 point seatbelt for middle row passengers.

The interiors seem to be a decade ahead in the future, with 10.25 inch digital cluster, one touch tumble middle row, 8 way power seat. Also, 3 drive (comfort, eco,sport) and 3 traction modes (sand, snow, mud) in this car is excellent.

The sliding sun visor looks from a segment above, not sure if it would be as functional as marketed.

I have a mutual feeling about this, the middle passenger safety in Indian cars are always taken for granted.

I see lap belts even in more expensive cars such as Harrier, Safari & Compass. On a positive side i see Kushaq/Taigun twins providing proper 3 point seatbelt for middle passenger.

I don't think what Alcazar going to offer is a turbo petrol engine. It's the same NA engine available in Elantra.

This one looks like another successful car from Hyundai ! Sure they took their own sweet time to launch the MPV but they've come with all guns blazing ! That diamond studded grille looks sweet, will definitely swap it in my Creta.

Looks like another block buster from Hyundai. I am already seeing 6 month waiting period for some variants. I think Hyundai will get away even with premium pricing. But looking at Hyundai's past behavior they may have a wide pricing band with affordable base variants at one end and pricey, feature loaded top variants on the other.

My brother just pointed out that they've reduced the size/width of the passengers in the middle row in 7 seater compare to 6 seater. Ways to promote a car.

One more thing that caught my attention is that in the 7 seater shown here with passengers sitting in the 2nd row, the middle passenger is shown having a headrest whereas in pictures of the actual 7 seater it doesn't have one .

And Hyundai's step-motherly treatment for the 7 seater can also been seen where the front seats don't get ventilation whereas the 6 seater with AT gets it!

So it seems like the digital MID of the Creta is gonna be the Mercedes inspired one which is also available in the international i20. It is quite an impressive display.

But I am sad to see the step motherly treatment being given to the 7 seater as it is being made available only in the entry level variants. In fact, if you want the automatic and the 7 seats combo, you have only 1 diesel Automatic option, no petrol at all. It seems like they want to carve out a niche 6 seater segment and sit in it.

I am pretty sure that the fence sitters who were also looking at the 7 seater entry level variants of the Innova and the Safari will not take very likely to this.

With that being said, I won't be surprised to see the panoramic sunroof being standard right from the Platinum variant so that those opting for this variant have this crucial feature to boast off(especially when compared to the entry and mid variants of the Safari and likes).

What absurdity that you can't pick up a Petrol Automatic in top end trim with 7 seats? Who is behind this variant breakup? If I've to pick this, I would like a non sunroof variant in top trim petrol automatic with 7 seats which sadly will not be available.

Hyundai Alcazar will be available in two seating layouts
Will get a 2.0-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine option
It will rival the Hector Plus, the XUV500 and the Tata Safari

Both engines will come with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
