| ![]() I believe internationally. the A class limousine comes with the most common engine option as the 1.3 turbo petrol co-developed with RenaultNissan. Nissan has already launched this engine in India in the new BSVI Kicks, starting at 11.8 lakhs. I expect Renault to launch the same engine soon in the Duster at an even lower price point. Would like to see how the target buyer of the A class responds to the idea of buying a car with the same engine at 3 times the price! |

| ![]() They showcased the A35 limousine in auto expo, will they be launching that? That would be somewhat affordable and is seriously quick. It is quite possible to launch it around 55lacs. |

| ![]() The Mercedes-Benz A-Class Limousine and the new-gen GLA India launch timelines have been revealed. Both the entry-level models from the brand are set to be launched sometime in the fourth quarter of 2020. The timelines for both the upcoming entry-level models were revealed at the time of the 2020 GLS launch. The company had earlier stated that they will be aggressive with their launch plans in India for the year 2020. Mercedes-Benz has already launched a host of models this year. However, things have slowed down since, due to the on-going Covid-19 pandemic and the resulting lockdown announced in the country. This has also resulted in a slight delay with the product launches in the company. The company will aim to bring in more volumes with both these models when launched in the Indian market. The Mercedes-Benz A-Class and the GLA will be brought to the Indian shores via CKD route. The upcoming A-Class sedan and the new-gen GLA crossover are the brand's entry-level models in its Indian line-up. With the launch of new entry-level models, the company aims to drive more volumes and win back sales, which it has lost after the discontinuation of the GLA model earlier this year. | ![]() Apparently in addition to the standard A Class range, Mercedes India is also launching the A35! Saw some Instagram photos of car reviewers with a bright yellow A35. Ever since Merc began local assembly of AMGs, the A35 had been rumoured to launch and it looks like it finally is launching. First the 340i and now this! The Indian car scene is hotting up! |

| ![]() Read the three pages of this thread but still one thing is unclear to me, i.e. positioning. Earlier: CLA > C > E > S Now we have A sedan that is virtually same as CLA in terms of pricing and somewhat same in terms of package if we leave finer things such as frameless doors, slightly larger size etc. aside. CLA launched in 2015, what about it now? Is it going to co-exist with the A sedan but with a higher price tag or is it going to be discontinued? CLA is a very desirable car to me. |

I think India will get the A class limo and the GLA SUV. The CLA and A class hatch will probably be skipped. The A class has regular doors without frameless windows and more headroom. It is similar to the CLA in most other aspects. The cost is lesser than CLA allowing Mercedes to maximize profits with the A class limo. I would love to see the new CLA as well but I think A class limo is the new CLA now. | |

| ![]() The car looks good in my opinion. The exterior has an appealing design while the interior seems well appointed. All they need is a killer pricing strategy. Price this thing well and maybe they can also get customers who are looking to foray into the luxury segment. Last edited by TrackDay : 23rd February 2021 at 13:47. |

| ![]() The photos of the Bright yellow AMG look stunning!! (Is this the same Solarbeam Yellow that is available in the bigger AMG supercars?) If they manage to price it well (in the sub 45 lakh range for the amg A35) it will really spice things up in the Indian car scene. Looking forward to the M340i and this AMG A35. Hopefully this is the start that makes performance versions more mainstream in our market. ![]() |
